CLOSED! We used to go to Shamrock a couple of time a month during the cooler/cold weather months. The food was incredible-the freshest sea food at very reasonable prices (yes, we always had seafood, not Irish traditional, but I'm sure that was good too). Mike, the owner, always stopped over for a chat, Maybe their prices were too good for... More

Food is decent. Service is ok once they notice you're there. Had many servers and the owner completely ignore us as we came in. Waited ten mins. Had to go get someone to get a table. Owner apologized saying he "assumed we were with the couple that had come in a few mins before us". Um, ok.

Average bar food. Just a local hangout. I doubt very much that I would ever go back. I think there is another pub down the road. Ask.

Went tonight. Two of us had sliced steak. Very tasty and well worth the reasonable $12.95 price point. I had my favorite shrimp in the basket. About 10 shrimp 😄 with Shir string fried for $ 8.95. Very pleased.

From the time they opened my family were regular (once a week or more) patrons. Awesome prices, tasty food and the owner was a true old-fashioned tavern keeper who made it his business to learn and remember your name. I actually couldn't understand how he made ends meet charging so little money for so much food. Prices rose (understandable), portions... More

By far the best meals we had in N.Y. Was working there during Huricane Sandy. Goooood home style meals. Owners wife and wait staff treated us like neighbors. Very Friendly, so much so , I'm bringing the wife back with me in April / May (from Michigan) , then onto some sightseeing in NY, NY. I probably wouldn't be coming... More

Stop there for dinner after a long day of work in Woodberry on suggestion from my boss. Very nice and cool Irish ambiance pub-restaurant style. I ordered the special of the day (Surf n' Turf) with a baked potato, and it was delicious. My boss also really enjoyed his plate. We had a great time chit-chatting, eating and watching the... More

To start, the shamrock has something for everyone on menu. Had a good burger and a beer while watching any sport you like. Friday nights find a prime rib special. Good food and good fun.

Make it a point to stop in at The Shamrock Hotel. The people are very friendly, atmosphere is nice and welcoming, they make you feel like home. Well the most important thing is the food. The fish is so fresh and many varieties, meat, sandwiches everything is so GOOD. The prices are so reasonable, do not miss this gem.
