Takesushi is the first sushi restaurant in NYC (back when it was located in Manhattan), and we are so lucky to have this family operated restaurant in Queens now. They truly have some of the best quality seafood in the city, and their lunch special is an amazing treat. They also do really nice seasonal ingredient "festivals" like lobster or... More

This is the place for people who want real Japanese sushi in NYC. Surprisingly, the price is not high for the dishes quality and quantity. You might ask today's special or chef's recommendation. If you are first time visitor, try lunch special menu as sets. You will have same quality of sushi or sashimi for very reasonable price. There are... More

Takesushi is okay. I speak Japanese, have lived there for years and eat a LOT of Japanese food. I find it to be a little above average. The main problem is the massive front of house issues, it's comedy central in here and the atmosphere is weird. Look, I have an apartment around the corner from here and still find... More

I almost did not want to write this review I loved this place so much. It wasn’t very busy on a Saturday night but it is the summer and it is Queens. Remember the early days of Sripraphai when it was cool and small and mellow? There isn’t much to look at here but that isn’t the point, the superb... More

Its has taken a while for this place to find its legs. The food was always good just inconstant service, which they seem to have sorted out. Generally a lunch location for me with specials that are always interesting and more that just a roll and teriyaki chicken options - The special changes day to day depending on what is... More

If you're in the Sunnyside, Queens neighborhood and yearn for sushi, this is the place to go. Prices are average for a sushi restaurant. I had the lobster sushi special for two. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh. This is my first time there and I asked the waitress, "How long have they been in Sunnyside?" She replied, "About... More
