You MUST see and taste this while on Zanzibar. Everyday after 6pm you will find dozens of streetfood BBQ, shoarma, Zanzbar pizza, drinks, etc in a colorfull and live square of Stonetown. You may be probably on visual impression of tons of skewers. They look great but sometimes are a bit dry as they wait for customers some time. Try... More

Just a tourist trap. Nice to visit for the experience but people are very annoying in here trying to sell you everything. Unless you really like to be bargaining not a very relaxed place.

Great for atmosphere. I would stay away from the food. My local Zanzibar friends won't eat here, and I will always follow the locals lead. I ate dinner here some years ago on a previous trip. Ended up paying 25 dollars for a couple kebabs which were not so great. Gave to a homeless person to eat.

Food is ok, very crowded at times, very expensive. It was really nice before, but not anymore. Good place to just chill.

Very nice lively place with lots of food vendors selling every variety of local delicacies. The place starts to rock from evening up until midnight! Its a must eatery when you visit Zanzibar.

Take a lazy stroll in the evening to one of the best fast sea food markets on the east Africa coast. The atmosphere is bustling, safe and friendly. The vibe is like no other. The food is par excellence. If you are into snobbish fine dining this might not be the place for you. But if you really want to... More

Well...this place is a park during the day but in the evening different caterers set up their stalls in the garden selling food. The prices are more than awesome. Walk around compare prices first. Make it a point to have their fresh sugar cane juice made right there. Even if you are on diet it's just one night an experience... More

Well this is our experience of Forodani Gardens - at night. Very expensive, the sea-food was old (constantly re-warmed), dirty (flies everyware on meat). The flip-side: there were reasonably-priced fresh produce available. The banana and chocolate pastery is a must! Sugar pulp drink, good value. Dont get intimidated by pushy venders.

You have a variety of sea foods and drinks, yummy pizzas and an amazing night life and can just sit on the pier and enjoy the sounds of the waves.....It's a nice place to be and you definitely get to enjoy good food.
