Visited McDougalls earlier this month for some casual early evening libations. One is immediately impressed with the ambiance of a welcoming pub atmosphere with comfortable seating and soothing lighting. While I did not order food the menu appeared reasonably priced and varied. The bar had...several craft beers again reasonably priced as well as my beverage of choice Genesee Cream Ale. My date enjoyed several masterfully blended Mud Slides that were equally appealing to eye and tongue. Our drinks were served by an elderly but highly efficient ‘tender. He was quick of wit and well versed on religion, politics, golf and social commentary. Our recent pandemic restrictions can be smothering for sure but it’s good to know a good time can still be had if one is fortunate to visit RFMs. I look forward to my next trip to Wilmington.More

If you call yourself a pub, you better have good burgers. They did! Calamari was also very good. Nice and crispy!

Had a excellent meal at the McDougall pub from the menu of the Hungry Trout Resort. Casual dinning ,located on The banks of Ausable River. Barkeep Jim was very personable and inviting . You could see why the locals love this place. After a few minutes...we felt like locals ourselves conversing with the patrons. If you are in theWilmington NY area, stop in for a great meal, a good drink and say hello to Jim.More

It was conveniently next to the motel we stayed at. Ate here several times during our stay. After dinner we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful views.

Try the Fish 'n chips and the tri-tip steak. Both were delicious! Good beer selection. Very nice wait staff. Beautiful river abutting the property. Thumbs up! You won't be disappointed.

Great little place. Reminds me of an Irish pub. In the summer enjoy the view of the river, in the winter enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Bar tender is excellent: Friendly and sociable. Food is very good. As a bonus you can order from the upstairs...restaurant too. A definite stop even for us locals.More

After a cold day of hiking the Daks in search of Grouse, this was a warm welcome spot to sit and have a nice drink.

Can pack up quite fast. They don’t take reservations. See my review for The Hungry Trout that applies since it’s owned by the same owners and you can eat upstairs at The Hungry Trout with the same menu (the McDougall’s one).
