We were seated inside near the entrance to the kitchen, people were running around very frazzled. It took an unusual amount of time to get our food. Our waitress never came back to get us more ice or drink the hostess did offer ice after we were nearly done with our meal. The food was average. Service slow. If I... More

Stopped in for a quick espresso to go....there's room for improvement on the 'barista'! (Didn't catch her name--did notice her tat on her right calf) As I waited at the counter I couldn't help but to notice her rather short and unfriendly attitude....she was consistent when she asked me what I wanted. No please, no thank-you, no smiles...not a good... More

Great breakfast and lunch selection (I had the Mountain Man breakfast with French toast and my cousin had a stromboli) and very friendly staff. Lots of great outdoor seating (on three different levels) and they're leashed pet-friendly. The only drawback was that the restrooms were single occupant only. There was virtually always a line to use either one. This was... More

This is a great restaurant! We stop by here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is much bigger than it appears. We had a wonderful salads and they even made my son is smoothie. They are fairly priced, and we will be returning there on our next visit!

My grandson and I went to Banner Elk to see Mary Poppins at the local college and we had the chance to stop for breakfast. I have to say I have never been crazy about breakfast burritos; however, I enjoyed one of the best meals I have ever had. I ordered the bacon, three eggs, Monterey Jack cheese with potatoes... More

They really need to condense their menus and have 1 menu and focus on the quality of less items than offering such huge menus to choose from. They are trying to offer too much from sandwiches to pizzas to dinners to smoothies. To me they are all over the map. Too confusing and too much to pick from. The food... More

We spent the weekend in Beech Mtn and had breakfast and dinner at Banner Elk Cafe during our stay. It's a lovely restaurant with plenty of seating, a cozy, cabin-like atmosphere, and genuine, down-to-earth staff and management. The live entertainment Saturday evening was an added bonus. Everything we had, from the coffee to the dinner entrees, was delicious and we... More

Came for an early dinner. Girlfriend had salmon which was great. Out of two of their sides (fried okra and black eyed peas). I had the fried trout which was good...out of tarter sauce. Waitress acted like she could care less. Never hung around to offer other options....had to wait a while to grab her to remind her she forgot... More

This was the best breakfast I've had in a while. I had an egg with bacon, hash browns and a biscuit. We ordered gravy on the side. The biscuits were so fresh. Very good breakfast. Yummy!

Good food and nice and friendly staff. They have expanded over the years and they have indoor and outside dining. The prices are good and service is fast. Highly recommended.
