If you go to Banner Elk and do not eat at Stonewalls, you are missing out. Hands down, the tastiest food we have had since moving to The High Country 2 1/2 years ago.

We just bout a house on Beech Mountain. Our realtor suggested this place to have an excellent dinner. We got the salad bar, lobster bisque, and beef Oscar. We will defiantly go back.

We'll, this is one of those places that lived up to the hype. Service from start to finish was excellent. The ambiance is very pleasant with no TVs. Fried deviled eggs are delicious! Prime rib is their specialty so we both had that. Very good,...cooked exactly as ordered. Our cocktails were very good. The Hugo is prosecco with elderflower, lime and mint. Refreshing! Sides are very good, also. Baked potato, roasted brussels sprouts, ceasar salad and bread with butter - all were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant **. Do take note that I was required to provide a credit card when making the reservation online. Free cancellation until 12:00 p.m. on the day of the reservation. Charge is $30 afterward.More

We really enjoyed everything about our dinner at Stonewalls. It has great ambiance and service was amazing. Maggie, our sever, was a true gem and guided us through the excellent specials with recommendations that were on point! She provided excellent service and truly elevated our...dining experience. Cocktails were great which was evident by seeing every table enjoying them. The food was incredibly delicious and we had no room for dessert, but couldn’t pass it up when Maggie so brilliantly listed the available desserts. We waddled out full and happy, we will definitely return. Thank you Stonewall for hiring amazing people—because they make the experience.More

We’ve driven past Stonewall’s many times, but finally decided to visit for dinner. The space was very welcoming (nice, but not pretentious). Could not have asked for a better server. Josh was helpful but not intrusive, friendly and very knowledgeable. We ordered the fried deviled...eggs, prime rib and a trout special. All were delicious: seasoned well and cooked perfectly. On a whim, decided to get the vanilla crepe brûlée for dessert. Would absolutely order everything again, and we hope to be back soon!More

Based on reviews I made reservations here. I tried to think of any reason not to give this place 5 stars but couldn't. The first night Anthony was our server, he couldnt have been any nicer or more attentive. I got the filet mignon and...my wife got a fish special. They also have fantastic salad bar that has just about anything you could want including anchovies. We got the 1x visit with an entre and it was really outstanding. The filet was cooked perfectly. I also got a baked potato that came with sour cream, butter, chives and bacon bits. My wife got the asparagus. Everything was great. I also got the onion soup and while its not normally made with provolone- for 7 dollars it was really good. What was funny was they served it with these tiny scissors I guess to cut the strings of cheese. Also came with a generous size of freshly baked bread and butter. The next night we had a young waitress (forgot her name) but she was just as attentive as Anthony. We both got the prime rib. Im not a huge fan of prime rib but it was good but I should have stayed with the filet. This night however we got the Peach Cobbler ala mode that was simply fantastic. It was huge, warm and not overly sweet. It was great. I really loved this place and look forward to returning next time I am up skiing.More

We eat at Stonewalls on a regular basis. Always great food and service. We had reservations on a recent holiday weekend and the restaurant was packed with an almost two hour wait for walk-ins. Our waitress, Carli, did an exceptional job that night! She dealt...with our two guests with gluten allergies and managed our table with grace and accuracy on a crazy night. I will definitely ask to be at her table again!More

Fresh well prepared food. Great atmosphere, and uncommonly good service. My husband and I both had pistachio crusted trout as an entree, with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Delicious! This place is hitting on all cylinders!

I went with my family and 3 friends total of 9 without reservation on Wednesday January 4th, 2023. Food and service was outstanding therefore we decided to go back our last night at Beech Mountain. On Friday January 6th 2023 I made a reservation through...yelp but only gave me the option of 4 people, we are 6 (my three daughters, my son, my husband and me) we thought that they would accommodate us as we are visitors and it was the second time in less than 48 hours. However when we got there the host "Loren" was really rude and treated my daughter and husband bad saying that they only have space for families of 4 that she would try without guaranteeing to seat us. My husband asked for the Manager, who was really nice about our last visit, and she said that he wasn't feeling good and was going back and forth to his house... Then she called me and before crossing any word with me she asked me if I speak Spanish in a degrading manner and I replied "yes but I also speak English" I found it racist. She then gave us 2 separate tables making our last dinner on our vacation very uncomfortable. A table with 6 chairs beside us became available and since our food was not there yet I asked her if we could switch to that table so that we could sit together, but again the lady rudely told me NO. Then she sat 4 people on a table of 6 having also 4 tables for 4 people available but her goal was clearly not to help us.More

On a very rainy night, my husband and I had a fabulous prime rib dinner, their specialty. Perfectly cooked, delicious flavor, very tender. We also had creamed spinach and a baked potato and a trip to the amazingly bountiful salad bar, which actually included blue...cheese crumbles! Our waiter was very attentive, and we liked the atmosphere of the restaurant, particularly the nice low lighting. Definitely will return here!More
