Hungarian mushroome soup is wonderful. The roast beef sandwich is very good. This is a very popular lunch spot and gets very crowded so expect a wait to be seated.

Met some out-of-state friends here and was embarrassed at the food we received. Menu needs to be updated. Food presentation and service can be improved.

The Veranda Restaurant has a good menu and many good choices. I had the vegetarian sandwich which was veganized by substituting humus for the mayo. Very good and pleasant place to eat.

While we had a nice meal here, we didn't think it nearly as nice as so many before us. The food was good, but not great. The service was good, but not great. I had the sliced roast beef with provolone and horseradish mayo on sourdough - $9.28. My wife had the turkey Reuben. The only sodas they offer are... More

My sister and I called here for lunch and were able to get a table quite quickly. We both had sandwiches which were excellent and our server was helpful and pleasant. An enjoyable quick lunch.

My friend and I had lunch at the Veranda. Although it's not outstanding, it is good. My friend and I were happy to get a table on a warm Friday afternoon. I had Thinly sliced roast beef with provolone cheese, lettuce and horseradish mayo on sourdough - 9.28 and I added tomato. My friend had Chicken Salad-Oven-roasted chicken breast with grapes,... This was my second visit, and I still don't know what all the hub-bub is about. The kids menu is dismal. It's just mediocre sandwiches, soups and salads. Granted, I have not tried the soup. Perhaps that's where it shines. I don't have a need to go back though. The location is great for walking around downtown. It's quaint in... More

Repeat visit. Jeff Butler has a gem of a place. He has the best soups and food on the planet. We will come here from Sapphire Valley every time we come from Florida. He shared ingredients for clam chowder last time. We couldn't begin to make it like they do. A must visit. Mary and Jack
