With a party of 6 kids under 9 and 6 adults, we weren't sure they could take us for lunch but Skip and his team were very accommodating. Luckily we were late - after the usual lunch crowd. The service was good, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We'll go back, and recommend it to friends.

Great place to eat brunch . The french toast is to die for . The burgers are very big and tasty . They even have some craft beers on tap .

Zero atmosphere but the food's good, the service friendly and fast, and the beer cold. Don't miss the salmon sandwich.

Perfect bar atmosphere and the food is really good. Pool tables and surprisingly, pretty kid friendly. Live music at night.

Wife & I stopped by for a quick beer and bowl of chile. Wow! Chile is good, meaty, and hot!! A little heavy on the onions, but the pieces are big enough to pick-out if you want to. We'll be back.

Had lunch and two points over sandwiches on our free day while moving out daughter into college in Boone. The bartender/waiter/doing everything guy was really something. Gregarious, attentive, and an overall character fun to be around. Unfortunately, I can't remember what sandwich I had (probably due to be two pints) but I know it was good. Beer selection on tap... We always make this our yearly stop when we stay in the area. The food is excellent pub faire and reasonable. The service is superb. They even remember what we like before we order. Wouldn't visit the area without at least one, but usually more visits.

Beer is a bit pricey, but they always have a good selection of off-the-mountain beers. They can be crowded with the hippy crowd on some days (Tuesdays with el-cheapo tacos) but the local hipsters are harmless and fun to be around. You may even run into a famous sociology professor while there.

this visit was to enjoy a great local band ( DR BACON) and celebrate my wife's 70 th birthday. Tables and chairs had been removed because of the band. I occupied a stool at the end of the bar. I'm 70 years old also. around 9:30 { the band still had not started to preform} another person began to work... More
