These were not the best doughnuts I've ever had, but they were more than respectable. The coffee (Americano to be exact) was outstanding. Service was friendly and quick. Place was packed with what I think were mostly locals and AppState students, although it's difficult to tell. I'd come back just for the superb coffee and the friendly vibe -- even... More

We asked for a recommendation of where we could find good doughnuts while staying in Blowing Rock and were sent here. My French husband is always in search of good "American pastries" when we travel and he was an immediate fan. Their espresso also got his stamp of approval, which is saying something! I tried the chocolate espresso doughnut one... More

Doughnuts were creative and delicious. Fresh medium roasted, pour-over coffee was a treat! Best coffee in Boone.

I go to the Local Lion to purchase fresh roasted coffee beans, which we later grind for our morning caffeine fixes. Occasionally have sampled their donuts and pastries, which are excellent. Best thing about buying beans there is that they provide a free cup of hot coffee with a one pound purchase. Makes it well worth the slight additional cost... More

My family and I stopped for coffee for me and a mocha frapacino for my wife. Both were very good. My son and I had cinnamon fritters which were plentiful and yummy. My wife and daughter had delicious donuts. Nice way to end the day in Boone

Their homemade donuts are different, made every morning, huge and very good. I love them as an afternoon snack and one is enough. Yum.

MUCH better than Starbucks. Staff is VERY friendly and engaging. Be careful, their donuts are dangerously delicious :-) YOU have been warned ;-) THEY are roasting the coffee beans in the store.

I finally had to talk about my issues with this place. They have a drive-thru and once I came up the counter first and right at the start of me ordering, the cashier stopped me to assist someone who had just pulled up in drive-thru. I feel like they should have 2 people to run both places. I got a... More

They are a little slow in service, but the food is unique & fresh & tasty. We sat outside & enjoyed the sunshine & a friendly dog sitting next to us.

We stopped in here and ordered a dozen donuts to take back home. The pumpkin and apple cider donuts are amazing! I bought some coffee beans to take home as well and got a free cup of coffee to go with it. I got the "house" style coffee and it was very good. I love places that roast their own... More
