I went with friends for dinner. If you like food with a kick to it, then you'll enjoy the choices. My friend said her Philly Cheese Steak was excellent. The poppers were good but really had a kick. The Jerk Shrimp was just too spicy...More

We have come to Portofino for years now and always know to expect a great meal. Not very crowded during the week. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Good menu selection as well!

This is a great place to eat. It isn't very fancy, though. It is a restaurant that has a bar attached. My family stopped here for dinner and took advantage of their $8 burger night with $2 drafts. The food was very good and we...More

Other than the drone from the neighboring student housing area, the creek side patio was a great place to dine. Stay away from the Main Street eateries and come towards River Street. Adjacent parking is a convenient plus.

Do not believe the advertising. This is not 5 star Italian cuisine. The food was good if you ordered anything other than Italian. Atmosphere was bar quality. Entered through bar to access dining. And not a nice atmosphere bar, college bar at best. Our waitress...More

Very casual dining. We were very surprised by the high prices for pasta and burgers, but the food was good. The waitress was great.

Atmosphere is just okay, service good but the food........... They have the BEST eggplant fries in the universe and their Italian won tons are to die for. I also loved their fried green tomato cheeseburger - one of the best I've ever had.

Description
Cafe Portofino is a family restaurant that is located in a historic building that was the original Tweetsie Railroad repair station in the late 1800's. We accommodate a small intimate party to very large groups. We specialize in pastas, steaks, specialty sandwiches and burgers. We have homemade soups and desserts. We have a very extensive wine and beer list including 18 different beers on draft and all ABC Permits. On the weekends we feature Chef Specials. We have a separate kids menu. We have several large TV's throughout our dinning room and bar so you can always catch your favorite sporting event. We also carry the NFL package.
