The food will absolutely knock your socks off. Its consistent, fresh and the menu changes often. We got married here and the quality was still top notch despite the fact that they were firing 40 entrees at the same time. If you’re a foodie, this...is the place for you. It’s the most high end meal in the entire OBX.More

Stopped for breakfast which included a beautiful view of the sound! Our waitress, Melissa was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The shrimp and grits were a highlight.

We were staying at the Inn on Pamlico Sound for three nights. Our stay included breakfast. Each morning, there was a special pancake and omelet of the day. We tried the Hawaiian omelet and the pancake special on one day that had strawberries and chocolate...chips. Both were very good. Our other two breakfasts comprised of French toast and egg dishes. All were very good. We had two dinners here and the flounder special one night was excellent. For the second dinner, we ordered the Filet Neptune that had an 8-ounce blackened beef fillet, poached lobster and blue fin crab vegetable du jour white cheddar horseradish whipped Yukon Gold potatoes brown butter béarnaise. This was an excellent dish although the lobster lacked any taste. Overall, the dinning here is first class, and the servers are efficient and friendly.More

Never a disappointment we had such awesome service from Melissa and a young man that was bartending. They were both very personal and even though we never have a reservation they were kind to seat us. We promise next year we'll make our reservation because...it's the best kept secret on the island. Hands down the grits with Gouda as well as biscuits and gravy and their signature coffee. They're dirty Mary's are our favorite but their hospitality keeps us coming back year after year for a very peaceful breakfast with an elegant setting. Thank you to your awesome Cooks for preparing our food with great pride and presentation as well as phenomenal taste. Keep up the good work and will continue to spread our word of what a wonderful placeMore

We stayed at The Inn on Pamlico for our wedding which was catered by the restaurant. We got more compliments on the food than any other aspect of our wedding! We also ate breakfast there every morning, as every meal was phenomenal.

My husband and I ate dinner at the Pamlico Cafe for our anniversary. First off, we’ve never had a better sunset view for dinner. Beautiful! Our server, Annie, was wonderful! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient! We never needed anything, because she had already...taken care of everything! Our food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The Lobster Bisque and the Wedge Salad were so good! We enjoyed the Filet Neptune as our main course. It was prepared perfectly by Chef Tanner! The entire meal was amazing! Dessert you ask? All I need to say is Chocolate Lava Cake! Mmmm!! And you can’t forget the yummy drinks prepared by Craig. My husband and I will definitely return on our next trip to the OBX! Would we recommend this establishment? Absolutely! Go ahead, make that reservation. You know you want to!More

Restaurants here were all closed on Monday. So we went back to Cafe Pamlico. Everything was excellent! This is the finest dining you can get on the island. The service was timely and attentive. All the food was tasty, delicious, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere...was wonderful. We will go back again when we are here. The only little problem we had was we couldn't eat outside. I am handicapped in a wheelchair. Outside seating was all on raised tables that I couldn't use. They should have at least one table outside for wheelchairs. No big deal because they promptly seated us inside.More

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated 15 minutes before our reservation without an issue. Dallas was our server, experienced, friendly, but not overly and skilled and informed about the restaurant and area. Dallas was awesome for the entire 2 hours....The food was terrific, I had seafood bisque and my wife had sea scallops for apps, and I had the Jerk chicken and scallops and my wife had the fillet with crab cakes. My wife's exact quote, "best scallops and filet she has had in a very long time". the atmosphere is awesome, watching the sunset from the patio while listening to very nice live music. We are in southern shores for a week more, over an hour drive, but we may go back, it was that good, and read about these people, the story and mission are just terrific. Cafe Pamlico does it all right for sure...eat here if you get the chance. Lastly we were lucky enough to meet the owner for a few minutes after dinner, he chatted with us while he was having dinner with other guests and was very cordial and appreciated our comments, this man and his team are truly living the American dream. What a wonderful establishment! My friends and I had dinner here the last night we stayed on the Outer Banks, and what a way to end our trip! I had the filet (medium rare to perfection) with shrimp, mashed potatoes and green beans. Stuffed peppers...and scallops for appetizers. The seafood bisque gave me life. Everything was divine! Melissa was a fabulous waitress. Funny and personable. The kitchen missed the shrimp on our order and Melissa and the additional staff made it right. She's a true gem! Eric at the bar makes a fabulous cocktail and recommended a delicious wine for my friends. Really enjoyed this restaurant and if you can get there around sunset, the view is spectacular! I highly recommend this lovely place and we will definitely be back! My friends and I decided a trip to OBX shall be a yearly event!More

By far the best dinner out we had all week in Hatteras. Our server, Melissa, was so wonderful. The timing of each course was perfect ( not everything came at once)! The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Lovely evening with a beautiful sunset!!!

Our family of four had a fabulous experience. We were able to book a reservation for the same morning with the helpful staff. The food was really good. The service was amazing - our server was friendly and attentive. Her energy and enthusiasm was truly...appreciated. Our server’s recommendations were on point - the special of the day (crab omelette) was delicious and honestly so was everything else. The chef was also able to make a special order for our son as well. Highly recommend! Go support this great business!More

We do not have lobster as a regular menu item. We do have it on special from time to time, but you would have to call a week or so before your visit to know for sure.
