Cafe Pamlico catered our wedding and the food was absolutely spectacular. They did a sit down dinner for 125 people and we got so much positive feedback about how amazing the food was! We have eaten here at the regular restaurants multiple times and always...enjoy the food and service that we received!More

I guess a large party is four guests so the 20% tip is added no matter how bad the service is! They made a mistake on our bill. It looks like others had the same problem. The food is overpriced and the place is pretentious.More

We wanted to love this place, it was a reservation I made for my husband’s 70th birthday, which I mentioned in the reservation notes. When we arrived we were seated right away at a nice table and then it all became hit and miss. Our...server also appeared to be the greeter and as such she was continually distracted. The two other servers appeared to be amazing. In our case everything appeared to be happening in slow motion, with misses along the way. Water never refilled, never any follow up after dishes were served etc. The clam strip appetizer was amazing and the shrimp and grits my husband ordered was also very good. And the bread service with the balsamic - to die for (luckily one of the other servers saw that we did not get the balsamic with ours and brought us some.) I ordered the Sonoma salad as my entree and it had 6 ingredients, including grapes and truffled brioche both of those were missing, so it was spinach, some red onions, walnuts and dressing. Our server was no where to be found to even mention it until we were completely done with the meal. Again needing water, pouring our own wine, etc. When she finally did come by I asked about it and she said yes it should have has those ingredients and she would mention it to the chef. When she came back she said they would take 10% off of the salad price for the missing ingredients - $1.30. Clearly missing the whole point. I wasn’t looking to save a dollar, I was hoping to have a nice salad. No mention of a birthday, even when I said something about it, no follow through, certainly she was pleasant enough, but we left wishing we had another server, because it would seem that could have made a big difference in our experience. Paid the bill and walked out. Never came back to notice us then either.More

Marvel Anne, it took us a while to trace back when you dined with us, and under what name. Fortunately the pictures in your review history helped us pinpoint your dinner with us under Christine Colinet on 5/18/24 seated at 6:20PM. We cannot sufficiently apologize....More

Cafe Pamlico is our favorite stop every time we come to OBX. The food is fabulous and never disappoints. The staff, sunsets, and music make it extra special.

We were in OBX for the week and ate here 4 times. I’m vegan and didn’t really know what to expect but I was shocked to find they had not one, but THREE vegan dinner options, and they are all incredible. The coconut rice bowl...with the black garlic teriyaki is to die for and the flavors are so balanced and well layered. I was super impressed also with the Thai curry ramen, which had a decent kick and a beautiful heartiness. I added tofu to both and was very satisfied. My partner tried the shrimp and grits, the tuna dish, the mussels, the soft shell crab special and a few appetizers and was very pleased. The portion sizes are super substantial and their cocktail menu is unique and delicious. We tried the bonfire by the sea, the mermosa and the blood orange jalapeño margarita. AND THE AMBIANCE!! Watching the sunset with family while you eat is pretty hard to beat. Also they are dog friendly and brought our babies water and pieces of bacon. The service was stellar and they will be our first stop the next time we come back.More

Do not look any further if you want to have superb food, excellent service and stunning views! Since we stayed at the Inn, we decided to check out what this place had to offer for brunch. I had the Monte Cristo which is a blueberry...French toast sandwich and my husband had the chicken and waffle. Both are a must!! The chicken was so juicy and the sauce with egg just complimented it all. We loved it so much we decided to come back for dinner. I had the chef’s special and husband had the tuna with succotash. We were immediately blown away by how the flavors combined so well with just one bite. This place is an absolute gem.More

Open for breakfast and dinner. Rated one of the top restaurants in the area. If you stay at the Inn breakfast is included. Excellent staff and top chefs. We’ve never had a bad meal because word of mouth is how they get their business. You...need to make reservations because the locals love to eat there too. Most of the seating has views of the Pamlico Sound.More

Wow! The new winter menu is fantastic. The lobster and crab bisque and the scallop appetizer are both great. For dinner, we had the scallops, the shrimp and grits, the beef filet and the filet Neptune. Each meal was beautifully plated and delicious. The special...cocktails had something for everyone and the wine list was well rounded. This was our first experience but it will definitely be a place we return to again and again.More

The Cafe Pamlico featured outstanding food and service. We ate dinner there two out of three nights of our stay and would have eaten there all three except that we couldn't get back in time from a Wild Horse Tour day trip. We also had...breakfast there three times. The food was perfectly prepared, and our waiter, Justin, and the manager, Natasha, made for a very pleasant dining experience.More

We do not have lobster as a regular menu item. We do have it on special from time to time, but you would have to call a week or so before your visit to know for sure.
