With burgers, Rubens, salads, milkshakes and beers, and fast friendly service this is more than a standard diner. It haste a larger than regular dining room and outdoor seats. We had fine desserts, fries and nachos all fresh and tasty. Easy to recommend for pub food without the bar.

Set in an old factory building, Elmos has a varied menu with several offerings for vegetarians. I opted for the Shephard Pie which came with options, mine being a Caesar salad. Prompt, friendly service and never an empty glass. Don't let the exterior scare you off. Best meal of the week so far.

Elmo's is a fun, local diner for kids of all ages! They offer such a great variety of foods but even more important is their contributions to the local community. They sponsor several giving opportunities for the local schools and they focus on consideration of hiring those people who have developmental issues.Children are catered to, with crayons, coloring sheets and... Unlike in the Northeast and Midwest, there are relatively few diners in the Carolinas. This is a shame, because sometimes you just want to sit down and have something quick but filling and hearty for breakfast. Luckily, in the Triangle, Elmo's fills that niche perfectly. Prices aren't as low as at northeastern diners, but the food quality is outstanding, and... More

A fun menu and really attentive service....servers are friendly and funny, good with kids and adults. The menu strives to be diner-ish with a small emphasis on 'healthy' and 'crunchy'. Unfortunately, the food is good, not great, so stick with the breakfast-type entrees, leave the Mex or more exotic stuff alone. Weeknights are a bit less noisy than weekends.

This place is like Chapel Hill itself--friendly, diverse, not too pricey, a little "crunchy". Breakfast all day was very good, as was the service. Great place to bring the kids, not so much for a business lunch. Glad I found it and I'll be back!

Nice place. Good service. What a shame about the food. Inconsistent at best. We need a great diner but this is not it. They need to up their game.

Love this place! Has an outside covered and heated eating option. Very accessible. Plenty of parking. Food and service are always excellent! This time I tried the burrito with red sauce - yum! HUGE portions! My daughter had the burger with avocado - always a winner! They serve breakfast all day, so if that's your favorite meal you will love... More

This is a lovely bare-brick walls restaurant with a retro diner decor. Our friends had delicious veggie burgers made in house along with fries and a creamy coleslaw. My wife started out with a tomato with basil soup that was superb. It's hard to please her with soups, but she loved this one. We both had the red beans and... More

Came here with my husband for brunch, and couldn't have been happier! Gotta love a place that serves breakfast all day! And a delicious breakfast at that.

Like a true diner, we serve homemade food and breakfast all the time. We have comfy booths, as well as tables, and lots of high chairs and boosters for the little ones! We are a gathering place where locals are sure to see someone they know and visitors are likely to make new friends. We’re a community restaurant both in the sense that we are a local favorite and in the sense that we strive to be good neighbors and give back to our community
