Nice find in Cary after NC Cougar soccer game. Fantastic Fish and Chips! Menu changes to a smaller bar menu at 10 pm. (This was a Saturday). Another in our party had a great hamburger. Live music started at 10 -- enjoyable but not so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Definitely will go back. Waiter was telling us they... More

Good atmosphere. We like when they have Irish music nights. Stick w/ the brunch breakfast foods, as they are tasty. But typical lunch and dinner isn't so good. My friend had Fish n chips, recently. It had too much breading and the bit of fish she got was tasteless. This comment is from someone born and raised in England. I... More

We've gone to Dohertys pretty much since they first opened and seen all kinds of changes-managers, menu, etc. In warm weather we enjoy sitting outside with Lily the rescue pup. We have tried many of the menu items but our favorite was always the fish and chips, that is until our last visit. The fish was different and had a... More

April, I apologize for the sub par Fish & Chips you got on your last visit. I can assure you we have not changed the fish at all. It has always been Swai. The reason it had that texture is because the batter was too thick. We batter our fish to order and when the batter becomes too thick it... More

This is a "local pub done good". We don't eat here often, but that's mostly from our forgetfulness. My wife loves the fish and chips (really quite good fish) and I often get the burger with corned beef. That said, the other items we have tried have been universally good.

Came here a few days after St. Patty's day as we were on the road and missed our annual Corn Beef and thought we would grab a good CB Sandwich. . . Yikes, they did not offer that. We ended up with a brisket sandwich which was good, but not my CB. All of us at the table (6) had... More

Stopped in a recent trip to Cary. I had the Doherty melt and it was great. I like the fresh chips that they have but they also have other sides to choose from. My wife had the crab melt and she was pleased with it also. The have a decent amount of drafts and a couple that are hard to... More

I came at 7pm and nobody was helping me or asking me something. I was standing 5 minutes next to a waitress and nothing happened. I asked if I could have dinner and then she told me to go to somebody else to get a seat, It seemed that I took the wrong entrance? Food was ok, but nothing special.... More
