It was simple and delicious! We had passed this place before and never stopped there. We decided before we left town we really need to do that. I had the clams with delicious hushpuppies. My husband had some sort of seafood platter that had just about everything in it. He said it was great. The place is simple and do... More

I live close by, just over the bridge in Swansboro so I've passed the Bogue House Restaurant many times. They have a large sign outside that advertises specials and this one sign was too good to pass up. Tuesday Special Fried Chicken Livers and Gizzards. Now this is not a sign you would see in West Haven CT where we... More

Hush puppies, Brunswick stew, shrimp burger and BBQ sandwiches...you just can't go wrong. OH and their homemade BBQ Vinegar sauce is amazing!

It used to be primarily a BBQ house, with great BBQ sandwiches as well as plates. Now, while keeping BBQ on the menu, it seems to be focusing on seafood plates. Curiously, on certain days, it features fried chicken livers and gizzards, and also it has sides like collards and fried okra, which are good. .

All was right in the world as I enjoyed their oysters. The shrimp and hushpuppys were great too. As they said, if it ain't fried it ain't food. Regardless the Brunswick stew was something else😇. Tried my son's BBQ and it was very good. My wife's flounder was awesome. I had to dr the tartar and cocktail sauces to my... More

I have lived in the area for 13 plus years and have ate here many times. They have fresh seafood and it is freshly cooked per person that walks through the door. Never a disappointment. Service is always quick and employees are always very nice.

Today 23Aug2016 at 3:00 pm I went for the Tuesday special, fried livers and gizzards, but they ran out of gizzards, but the livers were delicious! I asked for a side of rice which would have balanced the flavor, but she said no, rice was only with the beef tips. I think rice should be a regular side dish. Anyway... More

Daily "specials" appear on dry erase board and disappear if you don't get there early. Really tasty menu variety with inexpensive prices. Friendly staff and just plain "fun" with many locals to add "color" to your meal. We will be back!

I went here to get my yearly clam strip meal while vacationing in Emerald Isle. Couldn't have picked a better place. I really wouldn't have changed a thing. Friendly and engaged cashier who took our order, delicious clams strips, Brunswick stew and collard greens, along with the hush puppies. Topped off with a summer shandy beer. My significant other got... More

This restaurant is a short drive down Hwy 24 from my home and I eat there often - as do many locals - and "experienced" vacationers and weekenders - looking good food at great prices. There is a different special for each day of the week that you can count on being as good as the best home cooking. The... More
