We had not been to Tallula's in a while but went for a special occasion. We left happy! The food was delicious. We had the lamb dumplings and mezze platter appetizer. Yum. Lamb dumplings were delicious, and the sauce was amazing. Mezze platter was good too, but the dumplings stole the show. Spouse ordered lamb shank on eggplant puree, and... More

We celebrated Mother's Day at Talullas and LOVED the experience. Our meals and wines were delightful and Tahir's service was top notch. Thank you!

We love the food at Talullas, and last night's was no exception. The lamb shanks were excellent, as were the appetizers, and the waiter showed just the right amount of attention. One thing that was a bit strange, however, was the way in which our reservations were handled. We went with another couple who made them, and the restaurant told... More

Loved this restaurant...thought the food was excellent and there are many good options on the menu. Atmosphere was nice and the location is right in the heart of Franklin Street. Talullas has a decent bar with a number of options for wine and spirits. Beer selection is somewhat limited, but do offer quality beers. Be sure to get a reservation... More

Go with a reservation! We decided to try something new and pay a bit more for our anniversary dinner. Food was delicious, and we went based on recommendations from the wait staff. Appetizer was the eggplant fritters. Dinner was the multiple layered veggie dish and the lamb cooked in a clay pot with veggies. Sauces were delicious, automatically came with... More

We dined at Tallulas tonight for perhaps the eighth time in the past ten years and the second time in three weeks. We have always considered it a high end experience. The food is always excellent and the decor is attractive. However, we faced the circumstance that always ruins a restaurant experience. An inattentive waiter. We sat outside. He rarely... More

We were staying in Chapel Hill and found reviews for Talullas on TA. I've never been to a Turkish restaurant, but I love MIddle Eastern food. We decided to give it a try. Right on a main street, this small restaurant is tastfully decorated. My BF and I sat in the Sultan's Corner, a little nook up some stairs. Our... More

My husband and I had lunch here last Saturday. Sat outside. Got chicken kabobs which were absolutely delicious. Excellent grilled chicken -- very flavorful. Baklava for dessert was to die for! Good service.

My boyfriend and I (both students at UNC) agree this is the best meal we have had in chapel hill! We asked our waitress, Canan, what she suggested and we had two wonderful entrees, an eggplant lamb chop special and a vegetable stew with chicken, that she recommended. The restaurant had a very cozy and authentic! So happy we chose... More

When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
