We did not find the coffee/tea or pastries to be anything special. However, this is a very special, peaceful, romantic and unique spot. I would definitely come here again, just for the atmosphere.

With its woodland setting and both open and covered patio seating, this is a perfect winter weekend stop. The pastries are lovely to look at and even better to eat. There are just a few different kinds on offer, but all were tempting. Coffee, teas and steamers are served in beautiful bowls, acting as hand warmers on those cooler days.... More

This cafe is tucked into the woods in the most romantic way - you don't feel like you're in town anymore. It would be great for a first date or to meet someone, but it's NOT good for working. A cappuccino is $4, and wifi is $3 an HOUR. The staff is also not very helpful or friendly. When I... More

Nice little place tucked in the back. A place that once you find it, you'll tell all your friends...

Caffee Driade is a hidden gem. It is hard to find but it is a wonderful little place hidden on a hill top off Franklin street. This is a great place to have a tea and read a book or it's a great meeting place to see a old friend. It's very quite and they have amazing teas.

Caffe Driade has a wonderful atmosphere with ample outdoor seating in a wooded area. The coffee is also very good. However, I don't often go here because the service is reliably unpleasant. Baristas are unfriendly and unwelcoming. I've gone probably close to 10 times because the coffee and atmosphere is nice but I have never had a positive experience with... More

I went to Caffee Driade with a friend last week, and we both loved it there. Unlike Starbucks, they don't offer free Wifi, but you can pay a nominal fee for it. They hope that you would use the coffee house for conversation, reading, relaxing. However we did see several people with their laptops, so students and business people do... More

We were sent here by a local antiques dealer, and he was right. Coffee beans from local roaster Carrboro Coffee Roasters, pastries from local bakeries like Guglhupf, and a setting that is not to be beat. Pretty hot when we stopped there, so we didn't sit outside, but the levels of seating down a ravine, are not to be beat.... More

The coffee here is good, standard, and like every place overpriced. The atmosphere is amazing, with seating outside, lit lights at night in the forest. Very secluded and calm, great place to read or finish up some work.

Barista's last a long time here - surely a good sign. Coffee always high quality. Setting so relaxing. Enjoy the outdoors whenever weather permits. Stormy day? You'll be comfy inside.
