I'd driven by Sal's for all 12 years it has been open and never stopped in... now I'm counting that as 12 years of lost opportunity! The pizza was so good, I ordered another slice takeout and brought it to my son, who said, simply "Wow! Let's get pizza here again! " And the restaurant itself is delightful: very small,... More

We got take out from Sal's on a Saturday evening for company that included a vegetarian and someone recovering from surgery who couldn't eat anything chewy. The spaghetti was delicious, the eggplant Parmesan was divine and the big square Sicilian pizza was amazing and very well-priced. Allow time for cooking when you are getting take out, as everything is fresh... More

Pizza is really good if ordered well done. If not, it is just too doughy. The antipasto salad is really good. The sandwiches are terrible. Pasta is very mediocre. The menu is completely hit or miss. Desserts are just okay. The tiramisu was good when it wasn't frozen and the seven layer cake was just not that good. I want... More

This place is run by people who look and seem to be Italian, but it is not good. It is the minimal as far as quality and flavor. This goes for the pizza and the pasta.

We had dinner here one night when in Chapel Hill. It is a nice little Italian restaurant - Nothing fancy. Prices are reasonable. Food is good. Service was good as well.

Sal's is our favorite pizza parlor and spot to get casual Italian food. Some days they have a buffet which my kids love.

My wife and I like to try local pizza when we travel and have found some great pizza. This was not one of them. This place was recommended by the lady at the front desk at the hotel where we stayed. We ordered the deep dish and it was ok at best. When it arrived it was barely warm so... More

Been around for a long time, so they had to leave their old property. The new property is not as fancy as the old one but the food is as good as it's always been.

So many options made fresh. Pizzas are large and delicious. Sal's is a family owned and runned restaurant. They are wonderful and appreciate your business.

The owners, who were born and raised in Italy, are in there cooking every day. The sauce on the pizza is unbelievable. I love the meatball pizza. The tortelli, with either voka sauce or alfredo, is fantastic. The eggplant parm sub is great, too. Heck, I like everything they make!
