My wife and I came up to Charlotte to have a date night and wanted to experience some places by getting an appetizer and drinks. When we pulled up to Dot Dot Dot the host told us to get back into our Uber because they...were totally booked and had no room for us. We felt like Joseph and Mary. We asked him if we could have a drink at the bar and he said, “No, we are booked!” As a former manger of a restaurant you never turn down customers, especially during a pandemic. You always have room at the bar. What a mistake. We will never go to Dot Dot Dot again. Horrible mistake on our part.More

Enough has been written about the "speakeasy" ambience - which is true, charming, and unique. Likewise, the craft cocktails have received rave reviews - also deserved. My commentary focuses on the food - which must compete with the excellent craft cocktails. The good news is...Dot Dot Dot has a very strong set of food options that make it not only a place for great drinks, but also for good food. Vegetable Tempura - crisp with a savory dipping sauce. Steak Tartare - topped with caviar, has a spicy bite that I loved, but may be too spicy for some. Tuna - not over cooked, generous portion. Fried Chicken was all gone by the time the pate reached me, but everyone else raved about the flavor. Beet Risotto - while not a big fan of beets, it was good. Beet lovers at the table scraped the bowl. Shrimp & Hoppin John - tasty, but not easy to share among a group. Cheese & Charcuterie is a standard in all restaurants. Dot Dot Dot delivers a good, but not exceptional board. Bottom Line: go there for the craft cocktails, BUT work your way through the food menu. Waitstaff was knowledgeable and attentive.More

We visited Dot Dot Dot while we were in Charlotte visiting family who are members. The restaurant is tucked away in the back of a parking lot and you have to be a member to enter. Membership is not high, only $10 a year. The...atmosphere is like a Speakeasy and is a bit loud inside. Everyting was ok, nothing spectacular.More

What a great place. The cocktails are amazing, the menu is fantastic and the staff is friendly, knowledgable and attentive. I enjoy myself every time I visit Dot Dot Dot. Early is best, as it's becoming more and more popular, and sometimes has a wait...to get in.More

Honestly . . . no idea what the place is like. The first come - first served/membership policy translates to . . . Members have lower priority. The bouncer-esque guy outside the door lets in those who are paying for a new membership and turns...away “members” discouraging them and their party from entering. Although a member can bring 3 guests, a party of 4 is too large. One in our party had a membership and was excited to take us there. We travelled across town, excited to try it out, only to be rudely turned away. So rude that we have zero interest in returning. Wouldn’t even estimate the wait time. Flour Shop across the parking lot was very busy, but extremely welcoming, and . . . you can wait . . . and have a drink, indoors.More

We couldn't wait to try this place! We purchased our membership the same day we went. The membership is $10 for the year and you are allowed to bring 3 people with you each time. We had not made reservations but there was no problem...getting in. The first round I ordered the White Lady and my husband ordered the Lover, dreamer & me. The second round I asked them to make something with Gin & strawberry. Everything we ordered was amazing! We really wanted to come back one more time before we left but we ran out of time. WE did not try any of the food but we saw other people's food and it smelled/looked great.More
