My wife and I went to cajun queen for brunch. She had the poached eggs and crab cakes. The eggs were good crab cakes were great. I had the crawfish ettoffe and it was seasoned great and was delicious. The service by our waiter was superior. We used a living social and had $40 of food for $25. This deal... More

Went after church for my first visit, arrived about 12:20 PM. They were maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full so we were seated right away. Hostess was very pleasant and took good care of us. Wait staff was pleasant, efficient and not overbearing. Hurricane and Tornado mixed drinks were both good looking and good tasting. Fried green tomatoes were also good... More

We had reservations for 9 people, all family. Our table was ready and we were seated fairly quickly. We were seated on the 1st floor so we missed the jazz band on the 2nd floor but this gave us a chance to enjoy each others conversation. Our food took a minute after ordering but it was well worth the wait.... More

Come hungry!!! We don't live in the area, so this is only our second visit. The service is excellent and quick. The fried green tomatoes were good and the shrimp and grits is my new favorite! They give a lot, so bring your appetite.

If your in the area, this a must try. The best dining experience I've had in years. Food and service are great. We ate fried oysters, friend green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and mai mai with shrimp toping. Key lime pie and Oreo cheese cake. Awesome

The closest to New Orleans cuisine I've had outside of New Orleans. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. The BBQ Shrimp and Red Beans & Rice entrees are very good. We will definitely be back.

I haven't been to Cajun Queen in more than a decade. It's located near Novant (formerly Presbyterian) hospital on 7th Street, in a two-story house. I believe they've added on to the back since I was last here. I got a Living Social deal (steal) and decided to retry. I was a little surprised that the deal existed because I... More

Really not sure why we don't come here more often. Always love the flavors. While the fried pickles seem like what you get in any other bar or restaurant, the etouffe is really fantastic. Portions are large, so try to share dishes, or order the half portions. The red beans and rice were surprisingly bland, and the tables looked like... More

It really depends on the dish. Some have somewhat of an authentic taste some taste the same as any other restaurant. The music is great and there is almost always a Groupon available which is always nice! The drinks are good maybe a tad stronger than what I like (but that may be good for some...lol). This last visit I... More
