I had eggs Benedict with slices of ham and home fries. Mrs J had scrambled eggs with sausage. We shared coffee and an orange juice. Nice wait staff. A little loud but very convenient to Sanderling guests.

While staying at the Sanderling Resort, we had both breakfast and lunch at The Lifesaving Station. Both meals were very good and the service was excellent.

Esp for Sanderling guests and neighbors. Pleasant understated nautical decor, and smiling service at lunch. V good crabby chowder and a decent crab cake sandwich. Prefer lump crab, though. But definitely worth a visit.

Burgers, burgers, burgers. Skip over everything else, the beef is not missing here. My burger was cooked to perfection, medium rare. Flavors were pronounced. Fresh chips fried and seasoned with Old Bay were tasty.

Our first restaurant stop on our vacation. Food was delicious! Highly recommend scallops and NC succotash! Almost private dining since it was off season. Will definitely be back. Kid friendly, too!

This place is expensive! If you are wealthy and money is no object then this place I suspect would be OK for you! The most expensive fried chicken I've ever eaten. And quite honestly, it was dry as a bone. My wife ordered the she-crab...More

Located in the original—and splendidly restored—Caffey’s Inlet Life Saving Station No. 5, the Lifesaving Station is a casual, three-meal-a-day restaurant celebrating southern coastal cuisine and regional, organic products. New with the renovations is a spacious outside seating deck and large fireplace. Known for its “best breakfast on the Outer Banks” and a-la-carte Sunday brunch, the Lifesaving Station is a favorite Duck, N.C. restaurant choice for both locals and vacationers. And be sure the try the Lifesaving Station’s famous Carolina BBQ Sampler and Spring Mountain Farms Buttermilk Fried Chicken, always on the menu. The Lifesaving Station maintains an impressive wine list. Local breweries are featured while specialty cocktails feature coastal “house cocktails” and bourbons. Upstairs, the renovated No. 5 offers sweeping views of the Currituck Sound. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to catching the game and enjoying quality cuisine.
