Great place to get ice cream and popcicles on a hot summer day! Our one-year-old grandson had his first popcicle here during this visit and after getting over the shock that it was really cold, he tasted the strawberry flavor and didn't want to stop eating the popcicle. The ladies working here were wonderful and friendly. Made it a great stop during the day.

Smooth and creamy really homemade ice cream. Fun flavors and regular standbys all on a stick, but you can get a dish or cone. Outside seating, screened in porch make for a sweet visit.

This will be quick since we got ice cream cookies instead of their famous popsicles (which we've had before). We were actually at the co-located food store and wandered over to the Locopops side. We wanted something we could take with us and got two ice cream cookies, which we ate when we got home. The cookies were good but the vanilla ice cream was just so-so. We've been spoiled by the ice cream cookies at Rose's Noodles & Sweet shop downtown. We'll stick to the popsicles next time.

There were so many choices at Locopops that it was tough to choose one. I ended up with the lavender cream, which was amazing. Cost was about $3, and worth every penny.

Delicious popsicles and other frozen treats. Cool flavors! It was a fun trendy little place to stop with the kids near Duke University. Will stop again if ever in the area.

Seems like they want you to get your popsicle and get out. I came here to finish off some work on my laptop. I bought food from the store and sat on the tables they have. When I asked for the wifi password, the cashier told me that she can’t give it out and that there is a cafe nearby that I can go to. I still can’t wrap my head around it because they call themselves a dessert CAFE but expect you to get out once you pay. Never coming here again.

New location is bigger with a great room to enjoy your pop in person and toys for kids. Great, unusual flavors.

Ice cream is a must for me during summer evenings and this place was fantastic. Get the "Leftover pie" ice cream. The night I was there, they served leftover blueberry pie mixed into a very rich vanilla ice cream. Definitely stopping there again during my next visit!

These Popsicles are the best, and they are homemade. You can get ice based or cream based, with my favorite being the Cookies in Cream or the Strawberry. They also have some interesting flavors. Very cheap too!

Stopped at their new location and loved the funky atmosphere! Looking forward to their new additions of homemade pies and cookies BUT the popsicles are outrageous! We had the chocolate brownie, the frozen hot chocolate with marshmallows and the strawberry and cream! All were more than delicious and the owner was so sweet to tell us how she got started! It’s only February so we have the whole spring and summer to haunt the place!

This is a wonderful local business that makes GREAT popsicles in a wonderful variety of tasty and unusual flavors. They always have both water-based and milk-based pops. Fun for kids. Great all year 'round.

A great place to take the kids or stop with the wife. Lots of different varieties. Great flavors. They even have something for those watching their weight or with special food concerns.

What is better on a hot summer day than a popsicle? A handmade custom popsicle from Locopops. We were in town to soak up some grand kid time... and it's hot... and we needed a treat. To Locopops was the unanimous choice. And a good one it was. This little store near Duke Univ. has a wide selection of handmade popsicles -- some with cream, some just ice flavors. They are great. Our selection today was strawberry and cream, chocolate brownie, and chocolate chip/ pomegranate. The pops are not super cheap at $2.50, but they beat ice cream cones or frozen yogurt for flavor. Plus it's a fun funky little place.

We were in town for the weekend with our kids and our 3 year old asked for a popsicle- Google search revealed this little gem and we decided to give them a try. Its in a very unassuming little building, but the line was out the door when we arrived. They served us very quickly- we purchased 2 strawberry and cream pops, 2 chocolate chocolate chip gelatos, 1 cookies and cream pop and 1 Mexican chocolate pop (6 people it our party) for a total cost of $15. I admit I was a little put out because the serving size of the gelato was very small, but the treats were so rich and indulgent I don't think any of us would have been able to finish a larger size!! (and I'm a sweets lover!) All in all it was a great treat, well worth the cost and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop as well. We will be back next time we are in town!

Great service and a short line! I had the passionfruit margarita popsicle and it was delicious! There are many options and the servers are generous with the samples. Definitely worth a trip.
