We picked a neighborhood restaurant...sat outside on a beautiful day..,,breakfast & lunch menus...brunch menu on weekends. Limited but good choices...order at counter..they bring your food to table. Very nice & cozy small restaurant with well prepared food.

My favorite little shop in Durham. The breakfast plates are the bomb, especially the perfect biscuits. As big as they are, my friend and I had to grab a slice of pie and coffee. I had to come back, so I took breakfast solo at Scratch on the last day of my trip. And then took one of the bizarre... More

Had breakfast here. Best biscuits ever. Donut muffins were also good. Good coffee. There are some tables inside and out, so you can sit with your food. Four dots instead of five because I felt their selection was kind of limited. More of a variety would be appreciated.

The only thing I'd change about this place is the size.....it's so good that it seems to be spilling over with customers, which can somewhat detract from the experience. I ordered a biscuit with egg, cheeze, and sausage and it was like no other. Muffins are great here. Staff is friendly. I'll go again.

Very good biscuits with choose your filling. You can't go wrong with the pimento cheese and bacon jam. Cheesy grits were good but a little spicy. Small place with tables inside and outside. Parking can be tricky

This place is hard to find. You have to park in the nearby deck and walk down a pretty brick street/alley to find the shop. Worth the effort.

Looking for something a little above average for a holiday brunch, we were happy to find Scratch open on Labor Day, and enjoyed a lovely bite. The biscuits were hardy and delicious. You can tell by the egg who attentive a chef is to details, and the eggs on their biscuits were perfect, not over cooked like so many places,... More

This is a very minimal review as all I did was split a piece of Shaker Pie and have a cup of decaf coffee. But the pie was delicious -- the filling is VERY lemony -- which I loved. I honestly thought the pie crust was a little tough. Not the best. But it is a charming place.

They don't have much for someone allergic to gluten or dairy, but their Spanish Tortilla fits the bill and is very good. It has been inconsistent a couple of times, with it being too heavy on the oil, but most every time it is delicious. I keep going back. Their coffee is great and my husband comes here regularly before... More

The customer service is very friendly. The food is fresh. I had a rice bowl with fresh vegetables and egg. The food is local and made dress to order. I also had a lemonade. The best lemonade I've had. It's not your typical southern lemonade. It's pure and not over sweetened.

Thank Nicole A
