This restaurant is one of the few fine dining restaurants left in major metropolitan areas. By this designation I mean a great meal in a nice setting with great service. You can find this type of restaurant if you go to Cafe Parizade. A recent evening during December brought us this 5* rating with special music from an accordionist. Overall a fine birthday dinner occasion for my wife. Cafe Parizade often sets up special evenings for dining but a regular evening of dining will also bring first class food and service. Highly recommend!

My wife and I decided to return to Parizade for lunch. It had been a while since I went. I will just say happened and let you be the judge. This review is more for management. Becausr it was rainingI dropped my wife off and went to park. When I got back to the front door, I noticed the entrance was trashy. There were leaves and trash ymup to the entrance as if no one had cleaned today. When I walked in I was 'greeted' by a hostess that was on her cell phone and when I asked where my wife had just been seated she pointed in a general direction to her table and went right back to her cell phone. You judge that for yourself The server was great. Tge service here has always been top notch. We ordered and my dish was very salty, but to the servers credit she immediately asked if she could take it back. They corrected the problem very promptly. My wife had a salad with chicken. The chicken was dry and appeared to be old. Because I had already sent mine back, she did not mention the chicken. I am sure they would have corrected that immediately as well. When you pay top dollar you expect top quality food. The server took good care of us and that is why there is a 3 star rating. The Banana Napoleon was great for dessert. I hope that the management does nor lose sight of the details. I am not sure how soon I will return, if ever.

We made reservations for Friday night and were seated promptly. The place is fairly large, nice atmosphere. good menu and wine list. The food was reasonably priced. We went on restaurant week and took advantage of 3 courses for $35. We had appetizers of a beet salad with goat cheese and a shaved kale and brussel sprout ceaser salad. Both were very tasty. Our entrees were a stuffed chicken with goat cheese, roasted vegetables and a grilled salmon with saffron lentils. We really enjoyed them, well done and nice portions. Deserts were also very nice a chocalte torte and a lemon cake. Delicious. A very nice dinner.

We had really enjoyed Parizade before Covid, but our recent experience was not good. Big mistake to go on a Saturday night, with indoor and outdoor dining and high noise level; the staff was overwhelmed. It took 15 minutes for a bus person to bring water, then another 10 for the server to appear. He was not welcoming. We ordered the special Greek H- salad, which consisted mostly of cucumbers. (They did accommodate one member of our party who requested no olives or feta.) Three people ordered the Australian lamb chops (small, tasteless, according to reports) and I had the seafood plaka. That turned out to be canned tomatoes with a chunk of cod and three shrimp and spices in it. I could have made it myself as an emergency meal. Our chosen wine by the glass was okay. No one wanted dessert. We were all hoarse trying to talk over the din.

We had reservations and were seated promptly upon arrival. 15 minutes later we received water and actually got our wine at the 30 minute point of being seated. Appetizer orders taken at 45 minutes and arrived at 1 hr mark of being seated and were cold. Dinner was ordered at this point and received 95 minutes after being seated. Entrees were Rib eye and stuffed chicken, both were without warmth. Wait staff obviously overwhelmed as we rarely saw ours. Parizade has not adjusted to the post Covid economy and seems to be resting on it past laurels. What a shame to see this past standard bearer become average at best.

I reserved table for two at 7pm and wrote notes that is was a special occasion. Wasn’t the greatest table being near bar but the love seat I was able to share with my date was fantastic. My biggest hang up was the first appetizer I ordered, that was one of four “featured” food items for restaurant week was not available and I was forced to select one the the other options I didn’t care for. I asked to get replacement from their main menu, that was available to everyone, but was denied so I was left eating another I did not enjoy at all. Getting the check and tracking on OpenTable did not work. Overall a fair experience but I feel more effort could have been made with the items I stated.

We had a late dinner one evening. Although we arrived at 8 and they closed at 8:30 we were not rushed in any manner. We had buratta, olives, hummus and lamb and lentil soup as appetizers. We ordered pork chops, cod, chicken breast and shrimp for our main dishes. It was all excellent and the presentation nice. The creme brûlée and banana dessert was phenomenal. The service was very good

My family and I were celebrating a delayed Mother’s Day, 3 birthdays and 2 graduation and decided to have dinner at Parizade to continue our celebration. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and professionalism. We had reservations so we were seated quickly. Our server, Christopher (Chris), helped to make our celebration delightful. He was attentive to our needs and had a wonderful sense of humor. We enjoyed him. Parizade has a great scenic atmosphere and ambiance, and the food was fantastic! Everything was flavorful and cooked just right. We had a great visit.

This is our second time back to the restaurant for parents weekend at Duke University. The overall experience at the restaurant was worth repeating from one year to the next and the quality of the food was excellent (great wine selection too) I do have to say, however, that we always feel rushed when we are there. Granted, it is a busy weekend for most restaurants in Durham, but the service and timing of the food is always off. We barely touched our appetizers and the main courses came out. We felt like we didn’t have enough time to enjoy our meals. Our waitress was very attentive, and she too was surprised our entrees came out so fast! We would go back but prefer a standard weekend when we’re not so rushed.

Our recent dinner here was underwhelming and overpriced given the quality of the food. There is almost nothing on the menu for vegans and the vegetarian options nearly all rely heavily on cheese, including all salads. Having dined here before, I knew this was the case. I did not want to eat the one not-too-flavorful vegan option for a third time, and thought the butternut squash alfredo could be an acceptable compromise. But it was essentially a bowl of mac and cheese, with loads of stringy cheese and no butternut flavor at all. The fried tarragon sprinkled on top was tasteless and toasted pumpkin seeds were sparse. The beet salad similarly lacked flavor. My husband chose linguine and clams, which came with a good quantity of clams but was overwhelmed large quantity of chorizo. Most quality restaurants have adapted their menus in order to welcome a wider variety of dietary preferences, but Parizade remains stuck in the past. Our wait service was good - well timed and we did not wait long for drinks or food.

While the ambience was nice, that was the high point of our experience. The "lobster" sweet potato bisque did not actually consist of any lobster. It also exceeded the USDA daily recommendation for sodium consumption. The waiter seemed disinterested from the start. The entrees were "meh" at best. Quite bland from the lamb shank to the seafood linguine. Far too overpriced for such a mediocre meal and service. Will not be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. I have a few specific dietary needs and they were overly accommodating to meet them. The service was outstanding and the food exceptional! Enjoyable atmosphere and we can’t wait to come back again next time we’re in town.

Absolutely one of the best meals ever; new favorite restaurant in the Triangle. Uber-attentive staff, a GM that is constantly evaluating and looking for experience improvements, and food/service that will keep us coming back. The ribeye steak was cooked exactly as ordered. The salmon was charred to perfection and melted in your mouth. Appetizers and desserts were outstanding. Total gem of a restaurant!

Perfect atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent food. The menu covers the spectrum of dish preferences and from what I could tell, everyone in our party enjoyed their choice. Mine, filet mignon, was done to perfection. Will return.

We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The quality was great and the atmosphere is really nice. It is a little pricey but we enjoyed everything we ate. I had the swordfish and my husband had the pork chop. The tiramisu for dessert was over the top delicious.
