Friends recommended this restaurant for a night out. What a great idea! Very reasonable prices, good food, and ample quantities. Prompt service, casual atmosphere. My husband is still raving about the food. We will definitely return. It is only unfortunate we didn't find it sooner. (The margaritas were good and they have a variety of cervezas....)

For being a Mexican slash Salvadoran Restaurant, it was more Mexican than Salvi. Tacos were good, the Pupusas were mediocre however the Platanos were amazing. Very sweet and delicious. Oh and the Horchata (rice water) was very different, in a bad way.

Let me start by saying I do not usually eat Mexican. But I was in the mood for something different so I gave this place a try. I was not disappointed. The meal started with a big bowl of nachos chips with salsa. I got the Bisso Rancheros (not sure of spelling). I got a nice size steak covered with... More

Met an out of town friend who had heard of this restaurant known for it authentic food from El Salvador. While I cannot remember the name of the pork and cheese mesa tortilla, it was delicious. Prices were very inexpensive, I will return to this restaurant for another dish and for the great service.

Tried a few Salvadorean dishes, hoping for something unique and very tasty but was much like other Mexican places. I had the combinacion guanaca, carne asada with fried egg and beans, it was good. Husband had Camarones Entomatados, a shrimp dish in tomato sauce, also said it was good. Mom had a shrimp, scallop and fish dish that was a... More

My wife and I eat at what we affectionately refer to as "The Cat" quite often. We've been going there for years now, and although there are many other good Mexican restaurants in the area, I personally like to go this one because in addition to their authentic Mexican selections, they also feature Salvadoran dishes as well. My favorite is... More

Excellent value and quick service. Great pupusas! The rice could have been a little better, but I would go back again!

Went with a co-worker on a snowy day, glad to find them open for business. Service was very friendly and helpful. We tried a couple of things based on server's recommendation and I also ordered fajitas. The pupusas were fantastic! They are a must order item - I liked the bean & cheese the best. Fajitas I ordered had a... More

We took friends here recently and had a variety of dishes, from the plata tipico to burritos to shrimp crema, etc. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food; the potions were generously sized and service was efficient and pleasant. I had been wanting to try El Cuscatleco for months based on the good reviews here and elsewhere. Unfortunately, something in my... More
