Drove past this place on our way home from shopping in Durham on a Saturday night. The parking lot was packed and people were lined up out the door, so of course we had to stop to check it out. Sure glad we did! Brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, smoked chicken, smoked turkey and ribs are the meats and the... More

This is one of the best value for money meals I had while in Durham. We were 4 friends that had a meal for less than $40. We had 3 types of meat and 6 sides. The ribs were the best with the green salad and spinach. They have a lot of sides to choice from. It has a really... More

Lots of Triangle bbq places are trying to be fancy, but if you don't mind the back yard feel, Q Shack has better quality than most. Their beef brisket and St. Louis style ribs are unmatched. Pulled pork is great too, but pulled pork is easy. The marriage of Texas and NC bbq styles works really well here. Great meats,... More

As a devotee of Memphis barbeque, this doesn't quite meet my standards, but it is certainly acceptable. In fact, the meat surpasses the sides, in my opinion. The fried okra is very good, but the slaw and baked beans don't quite measure up.The Cobb Salad is worth a try. Their tailgate specials are a nice value.

I take my visitors to at least three local barbecue restaurants, and this is always their favorite. I differ slightly because I like the Mac and cheese elsewhere, but that's always how barbecue shacks have to compete. The ribs are dry. I like mine wet. That's it. Great environment. Inside and outside space. Always busy. You make the decision, but... More

Good BBQ not great. Need seasoning on everything. Chopped BBQ was good. Brisket and fries need seasoning. Staff was very friendly. I guess I was expecting some great BBQ and I got good not great.

Love the smoked turkey and the bbq. My work place uses the smoked turkey for our Thanksgiving and Christmas parties.

People who come to the Q-shack on Wednesdays are in for a treat. They get great food with choices of barbecue or sliced beef brisket or pork, lots of sides and good beer, AND, terrific Blue Grass Music. This is the place to be. And that clearly shows as there are not many seats, and as usual there are NO... More

A must have for dinner every time I go to Durham. Brisket is so good. All the sides are just right. Always too much to finish😄
