With all the great oysters around why have them from here? Very bland, you need lots of sauce to hide that.

Patrons seated on either side of the bar counter, everybody was obviously ready and waiting for the new season's oysters. The shuckers moved quickly bringing in their pails. This was a return visit to this restaurant for us and our peck of steamed oysters were...More

Great old early oyster house. Not fancy, if you want great oysters at a great price and the fun of sitting at the bar while they shuck the oysters for you you can't beat Oyster Bar. You won't get fancy beers or drinks but the...More

Ironically, its popularity is its only drawback, because it is a medium sized venue a lot of folks want to visit! Good portions, well made meals, you may have to 'belly up to the bar's waiting for a table. This is a seasonal eatery, only...More

We love going to the oyster bar in Elizabeth City NC. The oysters are usually large and tasty. This time we had raw ones first, then steamed and then fried. Needless to say we ended up with a large bill but it was worth it.
