This bakery is fantastic. It is very small and they have limited quantities of their bread and pastries so get there early. Delicious croissants and danish. Their special order cakes are also excellent. Prices are a little on the high side, but the quality is very good and this feels more like a quant bakery you might find in Europe.... More

Great little gem of a place. We stayed in Arden NC at a house rental and wanted to eat in that morning. Alton croissants, bear claws and cinnamon rolls/sticky buns were as good as any I have tasted in Atlanta. Definitely worth the drive to this little shopping center. They also do have egg sandwiches to order which looked great.... More

I was looking for a good bakery and heard of this location which apparently belonged to a baker before. I bought a bear claw and a slice of carrot cake. The bear claw was cooked past the stage of lightly browned, dry, and just minimal flavor. The bear claw was so overly browned it exploded when broken off and had... More

Really a bakery, with just a tiny space to eat in and a bench outside. Same bread as Flat Rock Village Bakery -- excellent, wood-fired oven, handmade. Even the day-old bread (half price) is good. WW sourdough, ciabatta and rye breads are my favorite. Also some great luncheon croissants and sandwiches, coffee, tea

Best croissant I have had since I was in Bayeaux, France. Coffee was decent. I also saw a truck from the Flat Rock bakery deliver something. The Flat Rock Bakery is another place I li,e a lot.

Nice little bakery with a delicious selection of baked goods. Friendly service as well. If you are just taking away treats, it is perfect. However, they could upgrade the coffee offerings. A place to sit would be nice too...

I stumbled over this bakery only because they are an affiliate with the West First pizza in Hendersonville. Their sourdough wheat bread (sliced for sandwiches) is outstanding. This will become a staple for bread. Their other breads and pastries all look delicious. Their scones are quite nice as well! We'll be regulars!

I stopped by the bakery on the way to the dentist having to delay my purchase until after my appointment. The bakery was quite busy first thing in the morning and everyone in line raved about the baked goods. When I returned, the case looked fairly cleared out from the morning run. I ordered a small latte and a ginger... More

I go here at least 3 mornings a week and it is some of the best coffee in the area. The Ham And Cheese croissant is top notch and easy to eat on the road. Tremendous scones and superb breads available in the late morning. Bagel and Lox is a regular order for me As well.

The bagels are fresh made. They make the perfect breakfast or brunch item. I like to grab one on my way home from work in the morning.
