We typically stop in 3-4 days during the week and grab a sandwich for on the beach. Love the Route 12 and the Suprano. We had the BBQ Sundays we were here. Try it, you’ll like it.

Their sandwich and salads are huge! The meats and cheeses are all excellent. And their deserts are wonderful!
We stopped in for lunch as we drove around Outer Banks, North Carolina (OBX to the locals). Their menu was a little confusing, using abbreviations (LTM = Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo) but they offer a wide variety of sandwiches. We grabbed our choice of chips and...beverage, placed our order, paid, and had a seat. It took awhile, but then they showed up and time didn't matter - they were huge and they were warm! My hubby had a Reuben, I had a Dani's Fav. While we were in there we talked to a local couple who gave us some pointers on other places to visit.More
We stopped in to pick up sandwiches for the beach and we’re so glad this was where we stopped. We had the Italian and Rt 12 and both were delicious. The mozzarella was so fresh and creamy. The bread must have been baked that morning....The pickles are huge and reminded us NYC. What a great place. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area. We wish this was a destination we could come to often.More
So this was my first trip to the Outer Banks, and we did the long drive to Hatteras and were wanting a late lunch/sandwich stop before heading back to Nags Head...and we stopped by two places that turned out to be takeout only (Delta/Covid August)...but we wanted to eat in/get out of the car & we had noticed this deli on the way down so we headed back & looked for it: serious OMG we were so glad we did. The Pamlico Deli roasts some of their own meats, imports others, all superior quality...we ordered the Italian sub (proscuitto, capacolla, sopressata, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, pickled onion, & italian dressing, soft white italian loaf: all exceptional fresh quality--this is NOT your "s-chain" sub sandwich) and we ordered a Reuben (roasted/corned beef--just light salt and seasoning so you taste the meat--swiss cheese, pub mustard, and the absolute best sauerkraut I have EVER had: crunch yet soft, tangy yet not overly salty, just perfect--and on thick cut freshly baked marble rye that was incredibly light and yet somehow dense enough to support the heavy load of the meat/cheese/sauerkraut)...we split both sandwiches so we could both enjoy and we both thought these were the best sub & best ever imaginable Reuben ever. I live in Maryland and my friend lives in Austin TX but we hope to be back in the OBX in the future and when we are, we will make the trip to Frisco just for the sandwiches!! *They also have a collection of deli salads that we didn't try--but we did take a couple of their classic "7-Layer bars" home with us and they were excellent as well **Furnishings & wine bar (& general condition of the whole interior) looked new/fresh, like it might be a new business or in a new location, so I hope they get good buzz going...hard to start a business during COVIDMore
