We had a 7:15 reservation, arrived 20 minutes early, and got seated at 7:45. I’m not sure what the point of a reservation is here if that’s how you get treated. Absolutely ridiculous. The food was incredible with everyone loving what they got. Good drinks...including lemonade for the kids that tastes like momma makes it. Cheesecake was heavenly and huge slices. All around would be a perfect restaurant if they honored their reservations they take.More

I called this restaurant to make a reservation for a party of 10 on November 10, a Thursday night. I was told they only make reservations for parties of no more than 6 but I could rent a whole room for a $200 fee! I...can’t imagine they could not accommodate a party of 10 on a Thursday night at 4:45!!! It’s not like it’s a busy weekend night! And we were coming from out of town! So much for hospitality at Webb Custom Kitchen!!!More

Occasionally I find a place that is just out of this world cool. Webb Custom pretty much fits the bill. An old theater converted a few times to other things becomes an eclectic restaurant in old town NC USA. Very neat, unique space with plenty...of room and ambiance. The menu has a little of everything with a full bar and many wine options. Daily specials as well. Food was properly freshly prepared. Gracie was my server and she did a fantastic job from giving me the history of the property as well as providing some menu suggestions. Note parking is limited. They have complimentary valet and there is public and street parking nearby. Recommend.More

Convenient valet, unique dining environment, excellent service and top quality food. Our 2nd visit to Webb Custom Kitchen as as good as our first. Every aspect of our meals was A+ ... Meatball appetizer, Caesar Salad, Steak entrees, Tuna entree, cheesecake desserts! We live out...of the country (Bahamas) but visit this area a couple times a year--we won't miss an opportunity to return here!More

We decided to stop in Gastonia for the night on our way to Atlanta and a friend told us about this place. Wow, what a great dining experience. Aside from the warm greeting from our hostess and great service by our waitress, Alexis, we loved...the restoration of the theater to be a venue for a great restaurant. Unfortunately there is no elevator to the upper levels if you want to sit up there, but I just took my time and it was well worth it. So nice to sit in a booth overlooking the open kitchen & main dining room. We started w/ their specialty cocktails - generous pour and delicious - I had the Castaway - wonderful coconut rum and my husband had the Steve McQueen - similar to an old-fashion. I had a salad w/ bleu cheese dressing which was thick w/ cheese. Even though it was in the '90's outside my husband had to have the French Onion soup - thick w/ onion slices, he said it was wonderful. He chose the baby back ribs w/ a fully loaded baked potato. I had the short ribs over the mashed potatoes and I couldn't resist but had to try the mac & cheese. All delicious and generous in portions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality & quantity of the food. This is the place to go in Gastonia!More

WCK used to be a favorite, but they have been going downhill and unfortunately hit the bottom for a significant event. We invited friends from Spartanburg to join us for a shared birthday early celebration a week ago. The host “missed” our request to be...seated in a booth upstairs. After waiting 20 minutes for a table upstairs, they said there was “nothing” so we were escorted to a cramped, noisy table in the middle of 1st floor while we watched another group our size be escorted upstairs. That’s just the beginning. There were too many mistakes to go into detail so here’s a summary. The service was spotty and slow, they were too interested in talking about themselves than they were about us so they missed our special celebration, 2 plates had to be sent back, one plate was held up because it wasn’t “up to their standards” but still came out wrong, the fish was dry and unappetizing, 3 of the tables beside us all sent back food for being substandard or incorrectly prepared, the previously wonderful Caesar salads have been reduced in size although the price has not changed and my husband’s meat was dry and tasteless. The venue is a novelty, but that’s the only thing that remains special about this place.More

Webb custom kitchen has phenomenal food and customer service. We visit every few months kid free & love every visit! Our server tonight was Jamie , she was phenomenal! Love the balcony view & service & amazing food!

Kelly C and Angel were our servers. There were 8 of us and the service was perfect. Friendly and upbeat, both girls were enjoyable. We all had a variety of meals. Florentine Benedict, Crepes and Medallions and Scones were a few favorites. Nice blood orange...mimosas too. Desserts were shared and oh soooooo good. This is such a cool place. The gals explained the history of the building and the atmosphere was really cool. We will return another time for lunch or dinner when in the area.More

Loved the Angry Lobster appetizer! Along with a couple of the artisan bread pieces and splitting an order of asparagus with my husband, it was the appropriate size for my dinner. Husband liked the Spiced Tuna which was a filet. Wonderful service from Hannah. Able...to enjoy a leisurely dinner without being rushed. Valet parking was available.More

I brought my husband to WCK for his 50th birthday lunch. We had reservations but opted to sit at the bar. Bartender was attentive & helpful w/ our choices. We started with fried green tomatoes,cheese bread & french onion soup. The tomatoes & cheese bread...were OUTSTANDING! French onion was just that, I ❤️ it but b/c the other 2 were so amazing we'd probably just get them again. We got french connection w/ mac n cheese (both yummy) my daughter later scarfed the mac. And the burger w/ zucchini fries. Burger was HUGE & DELICIOUS, Hubs got the portobello on the side & I added it to mine..best tasting mushrooms!! The atmosphere is unique, we ❤️d it & cant wait to return!!! Great job WCK team!!!! We'll be back!!!More

This was our sixth visit. First time the appetizer was delivered cold, (mozzarella grille) so the server comped it. Long (40 minute) wait for entre. Wine was delivered after half the steak was consumed. Filet was cooked perfectly, but totally unseasoned. Potato side was excellent....A little disappointed this trip, but we’ll be back.More
