The best barbeque in the state. My parents eat here every Sunday. Love it, usually we do take out but the service is great.

Wilber's is the place to go for barbecue in the Goldsboro area. The barbecue is very good, cooked the way it should be, they have the best slaw, and the hushpuppies are excellent. You also have to get some chicken gravy to dip your hushpuppies in, it is awesome.

I am a native of Goldsboro for 45 years. I love Barbeque. Many years ago Wilber's was a really great BBQ restaurant . But for some reason thru the years it still has the same flavor which is good but it is really chunky and fat. Which for me is a downside .Now the flavor is excellent . Wilber's has... More

Had the BBQ Plate with Potato Salad. Choose not to eat the Slaw. BBQ was cooked over a wood fire. Very Good. It is worth the drive out of the way.

Good points; coleslaw and hush puppies were very good. Fresh soft rolls were good. Fast friendly service. Simple clean dining area. Not so good; pork barbecue was minced not shredded and had way too much fat and Gristle. Barbecue chicken came covered in a unattractive tasteless creamy sauce. I was expecting barbecue sauce. This was not anything like any barbecue... More

This is a historic country barbecue restaurant patronized by most of the local residents and those travelling from Raleigh down Route 70 to Morehead City and the beaches. Barbecue is the main entree, but there is fried chicken, catfish, home-cooked vegetables, hush puppies, rolls, banana pudding, etc. They serve all three meals and the prices are real bargains. This is... More

I always ask where the locals eat, and they tell me in Goldsboro it is Wilber's. A business colleague and I stopped there for dinner. Would I go back? Absolutely! The fried chicken was delicious as were the hush puppies. The potato salad was just okay for me, as was the cole slaw. We ordered a side item of chicken... More
