Thank you Perry, thank you for providing an alternative to the chain restaurants that dominate Greenville. As for the menu, close you eyes and point, whatever you choose is delicious. Good variety, with choices for ppl who like spicy (massala), traditional (gyros), vegetarian (eggplant pita), or is you just want a sub (roast beef). Next time you want something different,... More

Marathon is a nice compromise restaurant where those of us who like ethic food can dine with our meat and potatoes friends. The atmosphere is casual and it's always easy to find a table. The prices are reasonable. I wish management kept the dining area cleaner, as it is always somewhat unappetizing. I usually get the 4 seasons chicken special,... More

Pretty authentic Greek food - and this is from a person who spent five months in Greece. The sampler plate is a good value.

Good, quality Greek food, especially the chicken and lamb kabobs. A little pricey, but worth it. The food is better than the atmosphere.

I was told they have awesome gyros but discovered the meat was dry with no taste as if it had been in the freezer for a year. But I've heard their Philly cheesesteak is pretty good. I hope to find a good gyro in Greenville, NC

Being close to "uptown" Greenville and a short walk from ECU, this place likely draws in enough business--which is perhaps why they have not spent money on updating. It looks like the last update was 1972. It needs updating of the bathrooms, carpets, and walls. You wait in line and order at the counter, and they bring the food out... More

I have been eating here since I was at ECU in 1998 and have only had the chicken skewer meal. That is all I need. Great local place to have on your list to frequent.

Wife and I went here on a Saturday for lunch. Our past experiences here have been good but on this visit we were very disappointed. We waited at the counter (where you place your order) for 8 minutes and no one came to take our order. One of the servers walked from the dining room to the kitchen and completely... More

My wife and I have loved the Marathon Steak and Cheese Sub for many years. It is the steak sandwich I judge all steak sandwiches by. It is on special every Wednesday. A small order of fries is sufficient for the two of us.

Have been going there for quite a few years and have not ever been disapointed. The food is good and freshly made. Prices are reasonable. Pastitsio and Moussaka are really good. Nothing fancy, just good.
