This is THE ice cream spot on Hatteras, so the lines can sometimes get long. But no worries - they are very efficient and move customers through very quickly. They always have a nice variety of flavors as well as many creative alternatives.

Excellent. Huge line, but they moved quickly! Everyone left with a Happy Belly! I had the brownie bomb and my wife had the cookie overload and both were great!
Nice selection with lots of options. It was very busy but still did not take that long to get served. The 5 in our party really enjoyed their ice cream. Need a dairy free option for those lactose intolerant. Had to watch them eat theirs.

Our rental was right across the street from Happy Belly, so of course, we made frequent visit throughout our stay. Milkshakes, smoothies, and ice cream cones - all hit the spot and did not disappoint.
Really delicious ice cream! We had PB cup and Cookie Dough - both great options. They also did pretty well with COVID safety (requiring masks, one-way entry/exit, plastic sheeting, etc.) I only wish they had signage outside so people knew how/where to line up to...go in.More
I had the blueberry cream pie ice cream and it was delicious! My husband had the pirates treasure, Oreos, caramel and something else that I’ve forgotten. He liked his too. This was way better than the place in Avon that has Hershey’s brand ice cream....We’d been there earlier in the week and the service was slow and the ice cream was bland.More
This was a great ice cream shop with many choices and sizes. However the mosquitos were horrendous. Maybe it was just the time we were there. Would go back.
Open till 10 in the summer this is a must stop pretty much every evening after dinner and a walk on the beach. Always crowded with families but the line moves quick.
We take the kids here every year, and now that they are old enough to drive, they take themselves there as well! Delicious and cute shop with screened in porch section too.
About what you’d expect from an ice cream shop in a tourist region. A dozen or so flavors, including basics and a few others. Sundaes, banana splits and waffle cones. Expected prices and above average, but not special ice cream. Friendly service, souvenir shirts. No...regrets stopping, but not so good we have to come back everyday we’re here.
