Polite staff. Large dining room. Great parking. We stopped here just for the Brunswick Stew. Lacking in taste and meat. Hotdog shaped hushpuppies a bit on the sweet side, and cakey, too.

Skipper Forsyth's has good typical barbecue food -- pork, chicken, sides, etc. Have been there a couple of times. not the best Barbecue in H'son, but good for lunch. Nice portions and reasonable priced. Very plain basic atmosphere.
I ordered BBQ chicken plates with potato salad and slaw, with hush puppies, good portions, hot, and quick service. Was ready when I arrived.

Used to live in the area and remembered stopping here before. Wow! It was even better. Loved the hush puppies that I generally ignore. Hot and not greasy. So was my catfish. Instead of Butter Beans, I got Lima Beans but the seasoning was excellent....More
I expected more from a NC bbq joint. Passing through on the way back to Ga and decided to stop. I got the Friday rib special. I like them naked but they came out swimming in what tasted like bottled bbq sauce. No seasoning either....More
