Horrid service. Have never been ignored this much by a waiter in my life. Manager was not at all apologetic.
Horrid service. Have never been ignored this much by a waiter in my life. Manager was not at all apologetic.
Had lunch with friends and to start the service was not good. We were seated and waited over 10mins to get our drink orders taken(they were not busy). Meanwhile, 2 booths away were 3 servers sitting and laughing while eating. One of them finally came...and took our drink order. When we got the food, it was ok but nothing stood out as great. I had an order of hard shell tacos and when I got then the shells were soggy due to sitting around waiting to be served. The waiter also forgot some side dishes for some of our party. The salsa was pretty good. Bottom line, go to Guacamole Kitchen for Mexican. Their food is fresher and the service is way better.More
First visit there. Food was terrific as was service. Best Mexican food we have eaten in years. I ordered carna asada, wow was it good. Wife said best tamal pork she had eaten since Mexico City. Wonderful food, a must tryin Mexican restaurants. We will...return ASAP.More
We were greeted/ met at the front door with a smile. The gentleman sat is and then he came back and took our order. A bit yoo much cologne, however was very nice and friendly. The food was great, except for the chips. They were...stale, tasted warmed over. My wife had the grilled chicken taco salad and said it was real good. I had Espescial de la cicinda. It was really good. Salsa was good, cheese do was good. I would recommend this place. Just need fresher chips.More
Visited here on a Friday night, around 6:15, very busy, but only a 35 minute wait. The well margaritas were okay, adding an extra shot helps. The food on the other hand was great! I recommend anything with shrimp!
Today we decided to go to Pancho Villas for lunch. I had the Steak Fajita Salad and water to drink. My husband had the lunch Especial de la Cocina for $8.50 and iced tea for $2.25. We thought our meals were excellent. The warm chips...and salsa that came with our meals were delicious too, My salad had lots of steak fajita strips and the refried beans and sour cream in the salad kept it moist so I did not have to add salsa. My husband enjoyed his meal and thought the chicken pieces were tastier than what usually is in this entree at other restaurants. The sweet tea was better than the usual restaurant version as well. We will return to Pancho Villas. regularly.More
We had dinner here this evening. For the first time here, I ordered a Steak Fajita Taco Salad for $7.50. It was a medium size taco shell bowl with steak fajitas, lettuce, onion, bell pepper, tomato, lettuce, refried beans, and cheese. I was pleased at...the amount of steak included. It was nice topped with their salsa. My husband had the Especial de la Cocina for $11.95. It is chicken, steak and shrimp grilled with veggies, covered with cheese sauce and served over rice. He was pleased with his meal, too. We both drank water. We had good service. Their posted restaurant inspection score is 95.5More
Popular mexican restaurant in south High Point. They have better than average food which is served in large portions. We have tried several dishes and all are good.
We decided to have dinner at Pancho Villas tonight. We had a fund raising Buy One, Get One Free coupon for entrees 1 through 28. I ordered Combination dinner number 13 that included a chile rellano, a beef burrito, and a cheese enchilada. I enjoyed...my meal and thought the beef burrito and the chile rellano were super. My husband ordered the Combination Dinner number 11 with a taco, the beef burrito, and an enchilada. He loved the taco and the burrito and wished be had ordered a cheese enchilada. He had sweet tea to drink and I had water. We had attentive service and had a very good meal.More
We went to Pancho Villas Friday evening for dinner. It was fairly crowded by about 5:30 pm and we were seated in a large dining room we had never seen before. I had dinner combo # 1 and my husband had the dinner combo #...15. We both enjoyed our meals. We also had good service. Their posted inspection rating is 95.5. By the time we finished our meals, their large parking lot was full. There were people waiting in the restaurant lobby as well as in their glassed in entrance. There are lots of people who love Pancho Villas. We will dine here again.More
We had a Buy 1, Get 1 Free Entree coupon from a fund-raising book, so we had dinner at Pancho Villas. We arrived around 5:30 PM and were immediately seated at a booth. Our coupon was for Combos 1 - 28, so there were plenty...of choices. I chose a # 3 with a taco, cheese enchilada, and a chile rellano. My husband chose Combo # 11 with a burrito, a taco, and a cheese enchilada. The menu says no substitutions, but we were able to request cheese enchiladas as opposed to beef. I enjoyed my meal and especially liked the chile rellano. My husband liked his meal also, but he did not really like his burrito. We had a very attentive and polite server. We also noted that their tea and soft drinks are more affordable than at many restaurants. By the time we left the restaurant about 6:15 PM, there was a large number of people waiting to be called to a table. At the same time, cars were still pouring into the parking lot as we left. It is a popular spot, and we will dine here again.More
The first thing you notice about Pancho Villas is that they have a huge parking lot with plenty of parking. Their dining room is also large with lots of seating. Their prices are very reasonable. On this visit, my husband got their $7.50 Lunch of...Chori Steak, and I got their Lunch Beef Fajitas. My husband really loved his Chori Steak. I had a taste of it and it was a bit spicy for me. My lunch fajitas had tomato slices and a grilled onion and pepper mix along with the beef strips. The fajitas were good. My rice was very bland so I added salsa to the plain Mexican rice. I was only given a very small dab of guacamole with my meal. I did notice that we were given a large bowl for the salsa which was nice. Their salsa is very good. At first we had very attentive service, and then our server seemed to disappear for a while. As we were getting ready to leave the table he read our minds and brought us refills of our drinks ($1.75) . We will certainly eat here again.More
We have enjoyed lunch here several times, and one evening we decided to try their food for dinner. The place was busy and the parking lot had lots of cars. My husband ordered the Fajitas Across the Border with 8 ounces of grilled beef, chicken,...and shrimp as well as cooked peppers and onions. He had a skillet filled with the meat and vegetables. He had a second large oval platter with beans, rice, fajita salad, guacamole, and also had two tortillas wrapped in foil ($12.49). That's a lot of food for the price! I had the Seafood Pancho Villas for $15.95. My meal consisted of shrimp, fish, scallops, and octopus grilled with vegetables and served on a large oval platter. That combination was served on a bed of rice. There was a garnish of 4 slices of avocado and some lime wedges. The grilled fish was moist and the shrimp was delicious. There were plenty of scallops but they were very small in size. Remember the chunky pencils that first graders wrote with? The scallops were the size of the eraser end of those pencils. Since they were very small, some of the scallops were overcooked and rubbery. If you are scared of the octopus - don't be. I only found 1 small piece of octopus that was readily identified as such by the round suckers on the tiny chunk of seafood. It just tasted like seafood. I had a small take home box filled with leftovers from my meal which I'll have for lunch at home. I also have my two tortillas to accompany my leftovers. Although my meal was fairly generous and pretty good, I think it was overpriced by about 2 dollars. We had fairly good service, although my husband had to wait way too long for refills of his sweet tea ($1.79). We will return to eat at Pancho Villa's for both lunch and dinner.More
We have about 4 favorite Mexican food restaurants that we especially enjoy in the area. Based on today's lunch there, Pancho Villas moved up from # 4 to # 3 in our favorites list. Today, as usual, the extra roomy parking lot was filling up...at lunch time. As you enter, check the chalkboard for the day's special bargain meal. We were seated at a comfy booth and we waited and waited to get our drink order. Finally my husband got his sweet tea ($1.75) and I had to wait quite a few minutes more to get my diet soda ($1.75). Pancho Villas has a very large menu. Look on the inside of the last menu page to see the Lunch Menu items. When you are seated, you'll get a basket of chips and the server will pour salsa into one large salsa bowl. Our first basket of chips was mainly bits of broken tortilla chips. Our second basket was better. We both ordered items from the lunch menu that cost $7.50. My husband had the Chorizo Steak. It was bits of steak topped with grilled onions, chorizo, and cheese sauce served with rice, refried beans, and tortillas. He thought his meal was great. We noticed that their refried beans are well mashed and blended, so they are creamy in a nice way. I had the lunch beef fajitas and was very impressed with my meal. It was served on a very large oval platter and was very attractively plated. I'll describe the plate with reference to the face of a clock. In the center was a large portion of sour cream. From 12:00 to 3:00 was the serving of Spanish rice. The rice was pretty bland, but i added lots of their excellent salsa and that was very good. From 3:00 - 6:00 were the creamy refried beans topped with cheese. They were excellent. From 6:00 - 9:00 was a salad topped with a reasonable amount of guacamole. From 9:00 to 12:00 were the beef fajitas. There was a generous portion of beef cooked with red bell pepper, green bell pepper, onions, and several half slices of tomato. The fajitas tasted as good as they looked. I'd like to see several changes in the way they serve food. All of our other favorite Mexican restaurants give everyone their own salsa bowl. That's a nice healthy touch. Also a couple of the restaurants put a small jug of chilled salsa at each table. That way, you don't have to wait for a salsa refill, as we had to do today. The service at our other favorite restaurants is very, very attentive. Today's service was sub par - our server seemed to disappear for a while, we had to wait for refills of beverages and salsa, etc. Service was the only real downfall in our meal experience today. If we had received even average service today, I would have rated the meal experience a 5. Hopefully we will get better service on our future visits here.More
First visit, now our favorite. Fast, friendly service. Huge portions. Best carnitas ever. Delicious guacamole. Great sweet tea. Cant wait to go back.
