5 of us went for lunch on a Sunday. We each ordered something different (black bean burger, crab cake sandwich, steak sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich and the day's special mahi mahi sandwich) and ALL 5 were a hit! We all really enjoyed our food. It was busy and crowded but church had just gotten out and it was high tourist... More

Our last lunch in the Highlands and we decided to try. We had great sandwiches, salmon BLT and swordfish. Service was excellent and food was good, but not worth a wait.

We were seated right at the entrance so it was very noisy and made conversation difficult. The service was good but the food was very average. For the price, I would have expected more flavor.

My husband and I dined at Wild Thyme tonight and I couldn't wait to get home and tell y'all about it. We had reservations and were taken to our table immediately upon arriving. We were served by a terrific and helpful person named Angel. She really went the extra mile to make sure I was aware of all the ingredients... More

Wonderful grilled salmon over salad. Sat at the bar... Great break in the middle of the day.. In the midst of shopping or sipping your way through Highlands

We went for a late lunch and there were already 8+ names ahead of us on the list when we arrived. We were seated in less than ten minutes. Our server was very attentive and professional. My wife and I were both going to have salad, but the salad choices were somewhat limited. She had the spinach salad and said... More

This is at least the 6th or 7th time we have eaten lunch at this restaurant and the have one dish I like, Salmon in Puff Pastry, but the sandwiches are marginal. Salads are just salads with no pizazz. The hostess is surly. It is cheaper than most places in town.

We decided to try a different restaurant in Highlands during a 4th of July trip to the mountains and we were very pleased. The fried calamari was tender and prepared in a beer batter. The gazpacho was incredibly flavorful and delicious. My husband selected the waterfall beef - a stir fry with lots of fresh ginger, he is still talking... More

This place came highly recommended and I can't figure out why. Our food was mediocre at best and very expensive! Our server seemed like he couldn't wait to get us out of there--I would describe his service as perfunctory. Seriously, we were in and out of there in 45 minutes yet managed to spend $100 for dinner. Overall, it was... More

Many resort town restaurants are inconsistent due to personnel turnover. Wild Thyme in Highlands fortunately has great servers and very little turnover. Throw in consistently great food and you have a nice recipe for an enjoyable meal. Tip: Go early or late if you want to sit outside which is where you want to be on a nice day.
