We decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner here a day early and loved our meal. The setting was very comfortable, sitting in a quiet corner looking out the windows. Our entrees of shrimp scampi and Napoleon shrimp and scallops were both excellent. To top it all off, our service from April was wonderful!

... But it was the offseason and they got us in after about 20 minutes. We were in town for the OBX 1/2 marathon and chose Colington Cafe for dinner based off other TA reviews. We went next door to their gift shop and each had a glass of wine while we waited for our table (brilliant on their part).... More

Friends encouraged us to try Colington Cafe. Wonderful evening; excellent food and superior waitress, Angela. Our group ordered a range of seafood items....crab bisque, seafood pasta, tuna and crab cakes. Each item was so delicious. We ended the evening with blueberry bread pudding. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to stop in for lunch or dinner.

If I could have rated this restaurant more than 5 stars I would have. Beautiful Victorian style house, lovely décor and food that is quite simply EXCUISITE! My parents and I were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. We shared the hot crab dip appetizer and then all 3 of us chose different variations of filet mignon with different sauces. Chef... Had heard good things about this restaurant and was not disappointed. Was here last week to celebrate a friend's birthday. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Loved that the restaurant is in a Victorian house. Very cozy. I had the filet and it was prepared perfectly. My friend received a delicious slice of pineapple cake for her birthday. Everyone... Just spent our anniversary dinner at the Colington Creek Cafe. WOW! Excellent experience from start to finish. Ambience, food, service is all awesome! THe owners actually work the restaurant and couldn't be friendlier. Holly our waiter was very informative about the menu and her service was superb. It is hard to decide what to order as the menu is diverse... More

Lovely place to eat. We had reservations and had to wait 30 mins probably for our table but it was worth the wait. Delish! The little gift shop is adorable and we each got a glass of wine (expensive!) but again nice place to enjoy a delicious meal and coziness.

Hidden in the trees just off the main road on the way to colington harbor, this charming restaurant reminds one of the country cottage it once was with romance, comfort and excellent food which is well prepared, tasty and plentiful. Staff is local and happy to accommodate. Worth trying and returning.

Lovely restaurant off the beaten path. Cozy feeling when you walk in the door to be greeted by Corey and Jodi. Food is delicious. Best she crab soup and the scallops rumaki were perfect. Tender scallops and crispy bacon. Husband had the shrimp and scallops tropical, they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the trio, filet (medium rare), shrimp... More

This place is always fabulous! We always make sure we have a dinner here. Our server was Corey. He was most patient and helpful with this lady who had a hard time deciding on the perfect choice! We started with a brie and fruit appetizer. My husband had seafood pasta. I had a perfectly cooked filet and scallops in a... More

Nestled off the beaten path in a Victorian house surrounded by 400 year-old oak trees, we are a local's favorite. Our seafood is brought in fresh daily, and we use locally grown ingredients. All the locals love our filet dishes as well as our large menu. All desserts are homemade. We are a family run restaurant with most of our staff having been with us for over 15 years. We do everything to make sure all of our customers leave happy.
