Food same great eats as before in 3rd St. Now on Pine St. Boston Butt is the best and reason we came back on our way South. It was the first day open after the flood and surprisingly spirits were high. We would recommend the new incarnation and wish them well and good fortune.

Excellent Bosto butt. The Fried cheesecake alone was worth the visit. Hoping they survived the floodind

Fun atmosphere! Delicious food. Our server was Betsy, and she delighted us with her Southern wit and charm. With her advice, we decided on a Friday special, the fish and shrimp dinner, which included 2 sides. I had my fish and shrimp broiled, my husband, grilled. (We had to remove the black skin from underneath the fish). I ordered the... More

While the food is good here, we had a problem with one of our meals - didn't receive the right veggies ordered. We were told we couldn't get them. After asking to speak to the manager, we were told she would come over. I watched her to see if she would indeed come by to resolve our issue. Fat chance... More

We like to try local food rather than chain restaurants when we travel. So we took the advice of Trip Advisor reviewers and went into downtown. Good thing we used GPS, because we were sure we were in the wrong area. Most businesses in downtown are closed and buildings are vacant. But there was Candy Sue's. The informal cafe is... More

Our second visit! So much fun to have real home style southern food! Amazing southern fried chicken and pineapple cobbler! Shout out to Olivia, so kind.

The food is always good. It is served cafeteria a la Carte style. You pick the items you want and pay accordingly. The building is a renovated old hardware with exposed bricks and beams-very cool!

I happened to be in Lumberton on business and I had the wonderful opportunity to eat at Candy Sue's for lunch. Located in an old bank building the restaurant offers an awesome cafeteria style lunch . I tried a small salad, the fried chicken wings, green beans, and a biscuit. My fried chicken was just fantastic. It was crispy, moist,... More

This is probably the nicest sit-down restaurant in town. The food is excellent and they have a nice selection of wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages at the bar. If your in town, you really should try Candy Sues. It's the best!

If you are looking for a great buffet style lunch then look no further. Candy Sues had a great selection to choose from and their signature chicken salad and crunchy slaw is out of this world!

Need to add this. The original Candy Sue's is on Pine Street in Lumberton, and just moved to a 2nd, larger, location downtown. Good menu.
