Eaten here many times over the years and always enjoyed. Filet and ribeyes used to be amazing. However, steak quality has diminished (over cooked, flavorless) and way too pricey. Try another of their delicious entrees.

This was by far the best place that I've eaten at in a very long time. The cheesesticks were to die for and they were homemade. The fish was cooked perfect and everything else was delicious. So dang good!

Very disappointed!!! If I am going to pay $20 to $30 for a steak I would expect some flavor. I ordered the Prime Rib and the only taste was from the horseradish sauce, which I had to ask for. The edges were hard and dry. The salad consisted of lettuce, 1 slice of tomato and croutons. I think some cukes,... More

Upon arrival, we noticed the decor was completely 1980's. Vinyl table cloths and fake flowers on tables. We then ordered the French Onion Soup, followed by their specialty Prime Rib. The soup and salads came out at the same time and the salad consisted of one wedge of tomato and lettuce. That's it! The soup was OK, but definitely NOT... More

Met some out of town friends that were staying close to this restaurant. Not many other options in Maggie Valley. The service was adequate although our waitress seemed harried from waiting too many tables. The fare was, once again, adequate with pricing at where you would expect it to be in a tourist area. Portions were good but quality, at... More

Ordered the filet mignon. Even thou it was pricey. Asked for medium it was beyond well with stringy fat! Second one was cooked perfectly but still not the best filet. I've been here multiple times and don't understand the issue.

Had a great time at J.Arthur's. Surprised at how kid friendly this place was! Biggest bowl of mac n cheese my son had ever seen--he loved it. Burger I had was tasty too. Loved the games and coloring set out for the kids while we waited, and the little train that drives around the upper part of the restaurant. Again,... More

The service at J. Arthur's is always excellent. The wait staff are attentive and polite, and the restaurant itself has charming mountain style. They decorate the main dining area with a HUGE Christmas tree each December which is a fun touch. My husband orders steak and enjoys it every time. I order shrimp or pasta; sometimes it's delicious and sometimes... More
