We were staying in Cherokee and there is nothing to eat there. We drove over to Maggie Valley for a meal that wasn't fast food. This place is large, clean and friendly. There was a wait but it wasn't long. The food is ok. Homecooked...More

The BBQ was smoked outside, and it was delicious. The sides could use some improvement but the prices are competitive. Seating area was too chilly but there is a really nice gift shop inside

Hands down best eating and atmosphere in Maggie Valley for BBQ, and more great home cooked food. We also loved the batter dipped deep fried corn on the cob, like a corn pie on a stick! We’ll definitely be back! And the cobbler ... wow!

Large portions of bland flavored pulled pork, baked beans, and cole slaw. Server seemed as if we were a bother. Perhaps ownership or cook has changed since friends recommended this place. Disappointing. Lovely view of the creek.

We were very pleased with this place. Had to wait about 15 minutes, not bad since a party of 30 was coming in. Hubby had pulled pork plate - got enough meat for 2 more meals. His squash casserole was great as was the potato...More

Food was very good and huge portions. Great view of the creek behind the restaurant right from our table. Food was a little bland but still very good. Would go back when in the area!

My husband & I recently ate at this place. It was recommended by a friend. We had the pulled pork sandwich , fried corn, peach cobbler and French fries! I call the meat, GREAT HOG"! The fried corn is a "must try"!

We ordered a pound and a half of the pulled pork along with the potatoe salad and fries, got to the motel thinking we were going to have a good meal on our trip. Boy were we wrong. The pork was dry and had no...More

No. It closes November 2nd and re-opens May 1st. If you're there twixt these dates; EAT THERE! It is soooo good. Try the brisket and deep-fried corn. You'll have to cross your legs when you eat it because it's THAT good.
