This restaurant was close to our hotel and suggested by staff. We went with our toddler and it was amazing ! Everything from the brushetta to the steak dinner. I mean words can't describe how delicious all of the food was. The staff was equally amazing! Even of you are not staying close highly reccomend going there !

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 14 October 2016

My family has been going to this restaurant since they were crammed in a little mall space over 10 years ago. Their service, value, and quality has always been outstanding. We eat there at least once a month and will continue doing so. I'm from Chicago which is known for their Italian food and I would say Pomodoro's could hold... More

We didn't know that this place was here. We had Greek Salads and they were very good. We will be back.

I was craving Italian the other night, and wanted to try a new restaurant rather than driving to Charlotte. I am so happy that is what I decided to do, or I would have never found this place. Went in on a Saturday night with a slight wait, which was a good sign. Was seated, and greeted by the server... More

First time visitor: the serving of pasta was large... I think I should have shared my pasta dish. The Pizza's going past were equally large and smelt delicious. Lots of choices, we were seated straight away on a Friday night, and the waitress was happy to make recommendations. Will be returning

Traveling from Florida to the frozen north, we were lucky enough to stumble upon Pomodoro's several years ago. Now it's a yearly tradition--wish it could be more often. First off, the bartenders are wonderful and friendly. I say this because you will likely be at the bar waiting for a table especially on weekend nights. It's worth the wait. Good... More

Pomodoro's is a delightful place to have a quiet dinner for two or a celebration for 20. The food is consistently good, portions are reasonable and the house warm salad dressing with bacon is the reason I always go back. I can't think of a thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend.

We normally visit for a fantastic lunch as an incredible price with exceptional service. There are lots of choices (I love anything with the pesto cream sauce). It comes with salad choices, Italian bread, drinks and 2 can eat for under $18! One of the best lunch deals in town and always great!

My daughter and I went one night and they had a gentleman singer there who worked the crowd. It was a great dinner out and the music was great too. I can't wait to go back! Plenty of food for the money!

We've probably dined at Pomodoro's at least a dozen times over the 20 plus years we've lived on Lake Norman. Used to be great in terms of both service and food qualtiy but has declined over the last year or so. I visited about six months ago and had a Bird on a Bun which is their Grilled Chicken Sandwich... Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk with you on the phone the other day. It is listening to my guests that has made Pomodoro's the most popular Italian-American Cafe in the Lake Norman Area! Our conversation was taken to heart and we continually strive to satisfy all our guests More

Description
Pomodoro's specializes in Italian American favorites and authentic Stone-Hearth pizza and baked goods. All pizzas are made by well trained “Pizziolas” (pizza chefs) using a guarded, signature sauce recipe with over 18 ingredients; then cooked in a true stone-hearth oven to bring out the nutty, toasty flavors in the special wheat flour the dough is made with. Sauces, dough, dressings, desserts and the like are all made in-house daily from the best ingredients available. Their signature Marinara sauce takes most of the day to prepare being made with 2 types of wine, onions, garlic and numerous spices & herbs, of which the exact recipe is a carefully guarded secret. Subtly sweet with well blended flavors it will remind you of the best Italian restaurants in the New York. Meatballs are made from scratch and and many guests say they rival those that their “Nonna” made years ago. The Marsala is sweet with wine and velvety smooth on the tongue with a generous swirl of fresh butter. Picattas are tangy and tart, with fresh squeezed lemons & white wine. Zuppa de Pesce is an overflowing bowl of garlicy tomato broth, brimming with assorted seafood over perfectly cooked al dente pasta. All the items on the menu share one thing in common, they are obviously made from scratch by cooks and Chefs that know their craft. But what’s a wonderful entrée without a delicious beverage? No worries, the fully stocked bar features all the classics as well as bartender created specialties. Craft beers, many locally brewed, are on tap with an ever changing selection. The wine list features over 50 wines, predominantly Italian all affordably priced. With all the selections it might be hard to choose, but don’t worry, they also offer tasting “flights” of both craft beers and wines!
