Great music, nice quiet atmosphere, and really good coffee! Stop by to catch up on emails and get coffee on my way back to Charlotte.

The Grind features excellent coffee and breakfast treats. The chef's special is always a good choice. I love the omelettes, quiche and egg rounds. Great place to start the day!

One of my favorites, and probably the place I frequent the most in Morganton. The quiche is my ole' reliable favorite, but the loaded biscuits and gravy cannot be missed if they're the daily special. Nowhere else in Morganton has the same sort of options as The Grind and I just wish they were open later! I'd love to eat... More

We stopped here for lunch on our drive from Charlotte to Boone. The Grind Cafe had great sandwiches, wraps, and salads plus local craft beer. A great find.

I love this little, cozy coffee shop. The service has always been great every time I've been. They have free wifi. And serve both breakfast and lunch. I've met here for social and business and although it's gets very busy during peak hours, I certainly can't complain. I love to see so many people visiting the businesses of downtown Morganton.

This coffee shop charges almost 3 dollars for two small cups of coffee. They also didn't tell me that I wouldn't get a full refill when they charged me the first time. I even brought in my own mug and they didn't give me a discount. They also charge over 3 dollars each for bakery items that are days old... More

We had driven from Asheville without a proper morning coffee. Despite being closed on a Sunday morning, three charming young men were inside and brewed one for us! 'Above and beyond' as they say. Thank you! Fiona and Tom from Cheltenham, England, UK

My wife and I feel at home every time we enter the Grind cafe. Coffee is excellent as are lunches and desserts. The atmosphere is relaxing, informal, just right for us. And.........the service is exceptional, we always feel welcome. Say hi to Reagan when you drop in.

We visit The Grind every week one or two times, either for coffee or lunch. In 40 years of travel we've grown a bit fussy about coffee shops and restaurants. This is one of our favorites. Nice atmosphere, great service and food, a very comfortable place in a nice downtown.
