We ate here prior to going to an event at the CoMMA Performing Arts Center in town. To be honest we were a bit disappointed, It came with a great price for a sit down meal. But the meats we added to the buffet style...salad bar and vegatable bar was just frozen store bought presentations. They were pretty below average. The items on the buffet were pretty good. However the overall meal was a pretty average 3 stars. The atmosphere was interesting. You could tell that they had been here for quite some time and that added to the appeal for us. 4 stars for the atmosphere. Our server was seasoned. You could tell that she had been doing her job for many years. She was very good even though she had quite a few tables. Solid 4 stars for service. It was a very good value. Almost cheap eats for a sit down restaurant. We would rate the value 4.5 stars. Cheap eats but the meat offering was not a great value. Overall we would give this place 4 stars. It was interesting place to stop for dinner. A little disappointed with the meats we had. Get the salad and veggie bar would be our advice.More

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, was very busy, about a 20 minute wait. The hostess and our waitress were both very friendly. Myself and travel companion opted for the salad, fruit, hot vegetables bar + 1 meat. I love salad bars and this did not...disappoint. The veggie bar had a lot of southern classics beans, greens, corn bread, Mac & cheese. Our meat choices were pork chops and chicken tenders. 2 pork chops were very tender. There were 5or 6 chicken tenders nicely seasoned and crispy. The meal was very good and well priced. Highly recommend. If I ever find myself in Morganton again I will definitely visit.More

I ordered a chuckwagon steak and the bar. I had made a couple of trips to the bar still had not received my chuckwagon so I said some thing to the waitress. Not a big deal as far as I was concerned, but it seemed...to be for them. They manager came out explained to me the printer had hung up and the kitchen had not gotten the order. She reduced my bill to just a salad bar. I received my chuckwagon and left a happy customer. I would not have given them 5 stars if the food had not been really good, but the service and food here was awesome.More

During our drive to Charlotte wanted to stop at cracker barrel the wait was too long so based on TripAdvisor reviews we saw this restaurant which is a quarter mile down the road. Best restaurant I will take us over Cracker Barrel was very good...very friendly quick service , a great salad bar and hot food bar.More

My friend and I went there for dinner a few weeks ago. It was very good. We were blown away about how good the food was, so we went back tonight and were deeply and profoundly disturbed about the quality of the food and the...poor wait staff. When we got there, we had to wait for about ten minutes to be seated, because they appeared to be very busy. When we went to be seated, the waitress tossed the menus on the table and walked away. When she came back, she asked if we were "Ready?" We gave her the order. She came back about 15 minutes later with the food and gave my date someone else's food. A couple of minutes later she came back with the correct meal, and took the one she had left for her. She left my food, but did not bring out my salad that I had ordered. When I questioned her about it, she told she had not written it down, and said, "Oh Well, too late now." She left the bill. I also found two bad spots on my baked potato.More

We were just passing through town and decided to stop here for lunch. It's just good old fashioned American food. Delicious food, homemade desserts and ice cream. They also have a gift and candy store.

Wonderful breakfast. The hashbrown casserole and chipped beef are awesome. Decor is fun. Waitress was spectacular! Food was hot and fruit was cold. Perfect!

One of the best out to eat hot turkey sandwiches I've ever flapped my mouth over. When the server put it down in front of me, I thought there is no way I'm going to eat all of that...whoops. I practically licked the plate. It...was the daily special: a half hot turkey sandwich, a pile of stuffing (dressing), another pile of mashed potatoes and doused in nearly a gallon of delicious gravy. Served with a little cup of cranberries. Hubby had fish & food bar. Cousin had the Carolina burger. I think mine was simply spectacular & will for sure go back on our next trip from South Dakota. Got take out on a Friday night. The place was crowded with people waiting. It was a little confusing where to go and the staff seemed very busy and over-whelmed. The staff was very pleasant. The menu is huge with many choices. We went with...simple choices: salad, wings, hot dags and bacon cheese fries. The salad was wet (too much water). The wings and dogs were well prepared but they didn't have blue cheese dip/dressing. The chesse fries were limp. These sound like complaints but I mean them as areas for improvement. Overall, we had a nice meal. It was great to get some local flavor. Although the staff practiced good mask wearing and social distancing, the other patrons did not.More

This is the ONLY restaurant in our area with nopales. The salsa bar is great. I recommend the whole fried fish. Great!

The wait staff are very nice but as for the owner and manager they are very rude ! I will never go back!

The Breakfast Buffet here is awesome. Large variety and great tastes. Usually need to wait though; long lines at times.
