Although light on personality - the seafood was incredibly fresh. My husband had fried oysters and they were wonderful. I had steamed shrimp - marvelous! We ate on the back porch. Nothing fancy but quality food. The restaurant next door looked good (much more a sit down and enjoy the ambiance) but this place was great for us as we... More

Good food, and great staff. The rainy weather had just cleared, and we had a lovely sunset view over the water.

The seafood and the view are both outstanding. The shrimp cannot be beat. We also enjoyed the clam chowder.

We found this place by accident and come back every time we are here. Great food, the breading is light and crunchy on the fried shrimp and the hush puppies are winderful. The people are friendly and welcoming.

We wanted to bring back fresh shrimp from the Outer Banks, and stopped by Sugar Shack Seafood market the last day and purchased both medium and large shrimp to take home. They were deheaded and a good price. Very nice Shrimp! We wish we had found this place earlier as a restaurant. It was very clean inside and offered meals... More

The Sugar Shack is a fish and seafood monger at Nags Head NC. They also will steam or fry any of the seafood they have on hand. My wife and I shared a pound of their spicy steamed shrimp, and a serving of fried okra. The shrimp were most excellent. It had us licking our fingers as w peeled them.... More

Sugar Shack is a seafood deli and market right on the water. The fish looked fresh in the case and it was fresh when we ordered. Great Crab & Corn Chowder and Shrimp Po'Boy. Service is simple; order off the menu or take in one of the specials; grab a table and wait for it to be delivered. Excellent homemade... More

This is also a restaurant. But a poor one at that. As a seafood restaurant the quality is not that high. I ordered a combination fried shrimp and scallop plate which took an inordinately long to to appear on the table. When is arrived it was obvious that the food had been sitting under a heat lamp. Quality is low.... More

This is a convenient stop for lunch if you are heading down to Hatteras Island and you can eat on the back deck with your dog instead of having to leave the dog in the car. The seafood is fresh and they have daily specials plus beer on tap! There are a few tables inside or you can eat at... More

We had never eaten here, but had eaten at the restaurant that is attached to it. Apparently, it was a new owner and it was no longer pet friendly, but the Sugar Shack across from it was. Since we travel with a golden retriever, strolled over to the Sugar Shack. We found the food to be very good. I ordered... More
