BuKu has a great drink and dining menu. Whether you go for Tapas or the larger plates, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is very nice, higher end, and the staff is wonderful.

The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that they do have vegan options and the drinks were good. Other than that, wholly unremarkable until they brought the check. Definitely over priced. Lunch was over $100 with drinks. The quality of the meals didn't justify the high cost.

We had dinner here with a party of 8. The restaurant is spacious and upscale. The menu is very interesting with a variety of "street food" from around the world. Everything we ate was delicious. There were no bad choices. We had Filipino deviled eggs, sweet miso eggplant, lumpia, mussels Saganaki, green tea-smoked airline chicken, the Korean bbq bibimbap and... More

Before the restaurant moved downtown, we went 2 out of 4 weekends and loved every bite. Since the move, years ago we go at least 3 times a year. The menu is good and crab flautas and rolls are great. The steak was not good. I asked only for greens and got the sides which was wasteful. The steak was... More

Went here thanks to the recommendation of a friend who hasn't made a bad call yet. BuKu was every pinch as good as promised. The ramen I ordered was served in a bowl big enough to swim in, and it wasn't just for show either. The crispy pork belly, the mushrooms, everything was top notch, and just the broth itself... More

...are going to hate. This place is awesome: Chef, servers, managers, top to bottom, awesome. Complimentary Valet, beautiful space, water wall behind a well-stocked bar, private dining spaces and a gorgeous wine cellar.

My wife and I go to Buku maybe once a month for the last year. Unfortunately we don't live close. It never ceases to disappoint in the quality and variety of the food. We've had such things as - Crab Flautas - PEI mussels - Argentinian short ribs - Perogi - Empanadas Picantes - Filipino Lumpia All are really good... More

Located at the corner of Wilmington and Davie Streets in the heart of downtown Raleigh, bu•ku is a local restaurant that tells a global story. The name "bu•ku" itself is an international slang twist on the phrase, "Merci, beaucoup" meaning, "Thank you very much." Inspired by the pushcarts of street vendors across the globe, our chefs harvest an array of unique and distinct flavors and present them authentically, in a virtual kaleidoscope of plates. The common link: these are foods that people love. Working within different regional traditions, our menu brings together complex and flavorful dishes that have been honed over generations. Foods like Polish pierogis, Colombian arepas, and Thai barbecue prawns served in a banana leaf with green papaya salad can be found on the street corners of Warsaw, Bogota, and Bangkok. We strive to convey the immediate thrill a traveler feels eating foods like these as they first cross over the cart and exchange hands into the urban setting.
