You actually DO need a reservation to go to the Angus Barn for Thanksgiving lunch. Van was kind enough to let us have a glass of wine in her office while they scrambled to find seating. While we waited, we got to see pictures of the hundreds of turkeys roasting on the grill and the vat (bathtub size) of collards... More

The Angus Barn is legendary in the city of Raleigh. I've been in Raleigh for 12 years and decided to try out the famous restaurant. First off - the ambience of place is just off the charts - especially at Christmas time - where they decorate like no other. It is fun - and very much has a locals only... More

In addition to other visits, each year the fam goes Friday after Thanksgiving. As I said before, the food is consistently amazingly awesome! I introduced mom in law to chocolate chess pie this year, devious! It's amazing. What I didn't realize until this year is how much the staff changes up the Christmas decorations year to year. Now, not only... More

This is a very popular restaraunt obviously and was very crowded. 3 hour wait for a table but we were able to find a seat at the bar pretty quick and ate our dinner there. Staff was nice and the buffet was fantastic although could have been hotter. Pretty pricy too $130 for 2 with one glass of wine but... More

The atmosphere was nice and service was impeccable, but, the food was not so good. If I had wanted a cold/lukewarm thanksgiving meal, I would have had cold cuts at home. Nothing was hot, or even very warm, in the buffet I had today. And, upon entry, posted at the foyer, their food rating was a disappointing 91.5 from March... More

Went with a small group for a business dinner. Very attractive restaurant inside and out. It was hopping even on a Tuesday night. Started with a drink while waiting for a table and they have plenty of places to grab a seat in comfort. Service was excellent throughout. Ordered a steak and it was cooked perfectly the way I requested.... More

Everything was perfect for 5 family members. The meals were cooked to perfection, cocktails were very good, pound cake was the best & the service was outstanding. I was concerned about the price initially but considering all we got with our meal the prices were reasonable. The staff made us feel like they genuially enjoyed having us as their guest.... More

We went to The Barn on Saturday afternoon November 19th for a birthday. We had a 4:00 reservation and got there at 3:50. They took us in at 4:00 sharp after we had had some complimentary cheese, crackers and veggies. The waitress was very attentive and informative. We ordered the 14 Oz. Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection! Salad... More

I have been to Angus Barn at least 30 times. I have always had outstanding service and great food. Its a staple of every special occasion in our family. The wild Turkey Lounge is awesome and staff is great. I am a Director of Customer Service and this is an example of how to get it done every time. Even... More
