I love the "papaburger", the club & any breakfast. A plus is that the servers are personable & efficient.

Big biscuits, great food, free cookies at lunch... what more could you ask for? Oh, and clean bathrooms! As a former firefighter I enjoy the decor and memorabilia from all over the USA ... and they give back to the community. WIN!

I went recently to meet a friend for breakfast. They did a great breakfast. I had a fairly standard two eggs over easy hash browns bacon and toast meal that was done well and served quickly. The wait staff were all friendly and attentive. If I am in the area looking for breakfast I definitely will be back.

Sat at the counter and was entertained by the hard-working cooks who orchestrated the meal prep. Terrific burger and great service.

I've been a fan of Barry's since the late 90's. The folks that work there are friendly and helpful. The food is prepared correctly and served hot. The BISCUITS are outstanding. And the FREE cookie after every meal is always worth the wait (for fresh and hot from the oven).

Based on all the reviews, we were expecting an excellent lunch. What we got was just average. The best thing was the cheesesteak, but the papa burger and grilled cheese were just OK. I doubt we'll go back. Maybe it was an off day.

Dear Duke... I'm so sorry you were disappointed with your visit to our cafe. Was the Papa Burger over cooked, or maybe not enough? I'm just guessing, but maybe the grilled cheese wasn't hot, or maybe even cold? We should have checked with you about the quality of your meal not too long after you received it. Duke, please let... this is a hidden jewel for breakfast -delicious and cheap eats. I had an egg platter, with generous bacon, hash browns, biscuits. $6.95. My husband had a 2 egg platter with link sausage, grits, biscuits. $7.95. Many choices including omlets, pancakes, waffles and more.

Visited for the first time the day after Storm Matthew wreaked havoc through the Triangle area. It had rained for over 24 hours & it was a relief to see the sunshine the next morning. I ordered a Firehouse Platter to-go. The service was fast, courteous. The food was fresh with ample portions. There was a cozy familiarity there that... More
