I came in today with 2 friends and my own special diet. I can't have dairy because I'm lactose intolerant. Marg or "MJ" was very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating, she suggested we used oil instead of butter to cook my eggs. I'm from...More

Reminded me of having breakfast on the farm - with a longer wait and a ton more people. The pancakes are off-road (huge!). All the southern breakfast staples are represented (you might even encounter some free banana pudding if you're lucky, we were!).

Great pure southern unhealthy cooking ... You gotta love it. Probably not on any diet, but so what ... sometimes you need bacon, butter, gravy and biscuits. Plus you get to be called "Sugar and Darlin and Sweetie Pie".

Th gi-normous pancakes are incredible. The recipe is taken from a pound cake recipe and they come out plate sized piping hot and fabulous! Be sure to try the fried biscuits with an order of gravy. Wow! What a way to start the day!!

Big Ed's is a true testament to an old fashioned southern breakfast. You can't eat this every day but one can sure enjoy it every now and then. From the country ham to the flaky biscuits, you want leave hungry or disappointed.

I love Big Ed's North. I eat here a couple times a week. Delicious plate lunches and breakfast that reminds me of momma's. Nothing fancy, just friendly service and plenty of good food at a good price.
