The new name of this establishment is Pho and Crawfish 79. Located on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh in a strip mall on the north side of town, it's an easy drive from most parts of the city. The interior is comfortable and well-decorated, and they have a fish tank and television in the restaurant. A friend and I got take... More

Like gravy (tomato sauce) is the true measure of an Italian restaurant's worthiness, the pho broth acts as the Vietnamese standard of judgment. And Pho 79 & Crayfish hits the mark with ease. The pho bo (beef broth) that can be ordered with a variety if beef cuts is a subtly imbued consommé that braces the ingredients without overwhelming the... More

I believe this is now called Pho 79 & Crawfish. New owners. Wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. I tried Pho Cali about 6 years ago and never went back. Heard it was under new management so gave it another try, and I will be back. The food was good, and the service was excellent.

Our friends had tried this location when it was Pho Cali, but we believe recently it changed names. They said it had been upgraded inside a bit. This was my first pho experience and our waiter was very attentive and helpful. He had to answer many of our questions about the meat listed on the menu. There were several options... More

I've been here a few times and am always delighted at how tender and deliciously seasoned their beef is. I suggest beef and red rice, its scrumptious.

No matter where your from, if you like soup and Asian cuisine, you will find this quaint little spot a welcome respite... Formerly the home of Pho Cali, a once favored local hangout for the Vietnamese, this sparsely decorated kinda whole in the wall place went through a major transformation. A little name change and a redesign of the menu... More

The food was pretty good but not phenomenal compared to other Vietnamese places I've been to, so for that reason I'd recommend the food if you're in the area, but to go. The service is so-so, the atmosphere is bright with a cheap diner feel, and the price is comparable to other places with similar choices.

Pho Cali has an excellent pho. I've been to the restaurant a number of times for lunch, and its top notch every time. Their pho begins with a flavorful broth that is lighter than some versions I've had, but for lunch, I think light is good, especially during the warm months. The broth really has some nice high notes from... More

I'm a fan of pho. It's my favorite type of cuisine and I've sampled it many cities (both in the U.S. and in Vietnam). While nothing can top the stuff you get in Asia, it's so pleasing to know that there are good local go-tos in times of dire pho need. I'd highly recommend Pho Cali. To be fair, their... More
