Good news, the location is very convenient. Bad news, the food is sub-par. To begin with, one of the reasons I visit Mexican restaurants is for the chips and salsa. The chips at El Rodeo are average at best, but the salsa is terrible. My entree, which was a combo of burrito, enchilada and taco was ok, but nothing to... More

Ate there recently, good but not great Mexican but it is very close to campus. The corn tortillas were good, loved the chicken, and a great beer selection. This is a good place for a sit down meal, it's not the best Mexican you will have in your life but it's fine and the service is quite good.

Came here over Valentine's Day weekend. My boyfriend and I were looking for a good Mexican place. We ordered off their lunch menu, which was a generous portion for a good price. We didn't love their guac though, it was kind of bland. We ended up mixing some salsa in it to give it more flavor. Overall we had a... More

I ate here on a weeknight in February. Had a #10, a chicken quesadilla and an enchilada. It was tasty.

I used to come to El Rodeo all the time, practically inhaled the queso sauce on the chicken chimichangas, I was disappointed that it had been replaced by a different mexican restaurant. I love the new decor, the stars are quite lovely, however the food is just not the same. I'll have to go to the El Rodeo downtown from... More

I am from Texas so my review maybe a little skewed. We have some of the best mexican food in the states in my opinion. The restaurant was nice on the inside and the employee's were very friendly. We requested a table and were sat all the way in back in the banquet room. They sat a large party in... More

Being from Canada, I don't often have the opportunity to enjoy Mexican food at a reasonable price. The service was fast and friendly and te food was delicious.

El Rodeo has great food. It has a great theme inside. Waiters are very friendly and a very clean place...I judge a restaurant by the bathrooms...IF they aren't clean, neither is their kitchen (which we don't see)

Not California Mexican but not as bad as I thought it might be. Watery salsa, decent chips, great assortment of veggies in the veggie fajitas, an abomination passed off as guacamole, flaccid lettuce/tomatoes. All in all, decent but I wouldn't say delicious but it was filling and relatively inexpensive. Service was fast and friendly. Vegetarians and vegans take note, server... More
