Had lunch here Sat 4/2/17. The food was average mexican fare, but I thought it was quite expensive for Mexican food. We paid about $36 (with a tip) for lunch for 2 with 2 diet cokes. The decor is exorbitantly "tacky-mex" but it is fun in that way.

This place has the best vegetarian fajitas and quesadilla I've ever had. Everything was amazing. They even had a train that delivers your chips!

Great to eat at a restaurant with real atmosphere unlike the chains. Food is priced higher the regular Mexican restaurants but the experience is better.

Not you average Mexican restaurant with a hundred choices. This is a very family friendly place with neat décor. We had the picante pineapple margarita to start, and it was really tasty. We enjoyed the consitas con mole, mis garnachas, and steak tacos---all delicious (the last two are house specialties). Looking forward to a return visit.

Upon walking inside it looked a bit junky and cluttered. This is not a typical "Chain Mexican Restaurant" as we had thought. Very different menu and food choices. I felt it was pricey ($16) for what we ordered. We were looking for a light meal late in the evening. Hence, we ordered the 2 steak tacos w/ rice & beans... More

Stopped here for lunch. Immediately put off by the dirty tables, dark atmosphere inside, and smell coming from the sewer around the side entrance. Yeah, that bad. We decided to eat outside facing Glenwood. Service was warm and prompt, food was ok. For us it was just so hard to go beyond the initial impression.

You know all those places that try to get a bunch of old stuff and throw it up and try to make it look kitschy, but it just looks junky? This place isn't like that. It has so much organic character and such a great vibe. The jalapeño skinny Margarita is delicious. Plan to hang out a bit.

I used to live around the corner from the old location. We used to eat there 2-3 times a month! We haven't been since moving out of Raleigh 4 years ago. Arrived in town on a visit and drove to the previous location...and realized they moved. The new spot has similar decor that makes this place so unique. The steak... More

We met there with group of friends. Everyone was happy with their meals. It is very authentic and colorful place. The service was very friendly. We liked the fact that they are taking reservations. Fun place for a happy hour as well. The outdoor seating is comfortable and cozy.

This place is (or was) cool. Felt like you had walked into Tijuana or something. Folks were friendly and food good. Alas though, they seem to have moved to Glenwood.. haven't tried that location yet.
